What is a "yute"?

Howdy howdy!!!

This week was a weird one. I finished my previous submission SUPER early, so I had almost two whole weeks to work on this one. I knew early on that I wanted to use lines from "My Cousin Vinny" (one of my favorite movies of all time) and this weird monstrosity is what came out. I think I was able to get some really fun sounds, but I'm not happy with the overall mixing. When the song is at its craziest, some of the vocals are totally drowned out. But then again, I didn't spend a single minute working on the mix - I just played around with the general composition trying to find interesting stuff to do with the vocals.

I've also been trying to work on a couple of new tunes but I'm feeling terribly uninspired and drained. Kind of like the creativity well has dried up and I'm now left making minor variations of the same three songs over and over again. Maybe its time to sit down and write more goofy ass rap lyrics.

Thanks again for the kind comments on last week's submission! Hope y'all have an awesome week!

PEACE!!!!

"absurd amount of melodic content in Pesci's yelling"

This is so good.

Great work chopping the samples! Love the rhythms and how they all weave together.

I immediately recognized this was from My Cousin Vinny even before I read the description.  The repetition of the two yutes becomes strangely catchy.  There really is a musicality to Pesci's delivery and it pops even more with the way you've arranged it.

Great job at manipulating the samples! I liked the grainy bass sound too
