Don't Touch My Pepperonis

Howdy, music peeps!!!
Hope y'all had a great week! Were you able to go to that thing you said you wanted to go to? That sounded nice.
First of all, thank you so so much for the incredibly kind comments on my last submission. I have so much fun making those comedy raps, but they take A LOT out of me for some reason (even though I feel like I've rewritten basically the same song almost three times by this point, hahahaha)
I definitely want to do at least one more comedy rap before the year ends, but I don't know when exactly that'll happen.
So, after making that goofy ass song, I felt a little depleted musically and didn't find much inspiration anywhere. I started two or three little projects that didn't really go anywhere beyond a tiny little loop or a cool sound. And then, I made this bass line which felt super fun and I started building on top of it, having lots of fun with the percussive elements.
I was sitting on the living room couch and messing around with the tune while my wife was watching something on TV - she is a saint for putting up with my music making during TV time, hahahahaha... Anyways, I had most of the elements already going and she started singing "Nipple" along with the beat. I thought it was kinda funny, so I sampled her doing the same thing and used it to make some cool silly vocal chops.
We then discussed what the name of the song should be and we came up with "Don't Touch My Pepperonis". Makes total sense, right?
After I added her vocals to the track and rendered the song, I felt that there was still something missing... And then it hit me: the title of the song would fit perfectly to the beat! So I sampled myself saying the line a couple of times and chopped it up.
This started out as a SUPER DUPER low effort tune and turned out as one of the things I most laughed while making.
By the way, my apologies about the mixing. I just listened to the final render while walking my dog and noticed that there are two voices that are WAAAAYYYY too loud (the saw wave that comes in at the halfway mark and my vocal samples). Sorry y'all, it seems like I still haven't been able to get a grip on how to master my tracks appropriately.
As a side note, I guess I was a little envious of folks like jwh & emily and Paisleyfrog who get to collaborate musically with their partners, so I wanted to enter the exclusive couples-making-music-for-weekly-beats group. Does this count? I sure think it does! Hahaahahahaha....
Anyways, take care of each other out there, folks! Looking forward to listening to what you've cooked up this week!!!
WE'RE ALMOST THERE!!! JUST ELEVEN MORE WEEKS!!!
Peace, y'all!!!!
