Happy New Year, glad to be back for another round of weeklybeats, but also a little intimidated with the pressure of weeklybeats, but as long as it stays fun will stick to it.  This year got a couple of friends to join as well, hopefully will keep me motivated.  Excited to hear back from some familiar faces from previous years. Goal this year is to try and incorporate more hardware and not rely on the laptop as much, but we will see, it's just so much easier with the laptop.

Nice hiphop beats going on here smile headbopping

Yesss great to see you back! Nice to hear you're also adding to the roster, I hope I come across your mates' music at some point. Love the ambient pads in the background of this, such a nice winter vibe. Good luck this year!

Awesome to see you back! Smooth track! I could listen to some of the tracks you made in 2021 on Soundcloud but looking forward to weekly tracks from you!

Uhhhh!!! thick impact of the drumz hit me like:

turned on my turntable and popped on a DJ Woody Flexicut for this one. nice beat to scratch to

Thanks, it was a nice surprise to hear you comment on some of those SoundCloud tracks

Wow, that’s awesome, puts a smile on my face, I recorded 2 minutes of scratching just to find something useful for the 1 second I used in the track

I know that feeling! Regarding scratching, I find that it helps to record it to a slowed-down version of the beat with slower movement and speed it up (tape style, not time stretch). Since it's technically forward and reverse playback with different speeds, the result becomes totally realistic (unlike acoustic recordings). Instant skill gain tongue

Good to hear those scratches return

A solid head nodder of a beat.  The kick/snare sounds super tight especially on those rolls.  Great to see you back!  Here's to a fun year smile
