Sleet dub

M8 tracker as a midi sequencer, Synth voices are from the Schlappi Angle Grinder/ 100 grit for the bass, Digitone for the leads and Machinedrum for the percussion. Voices are routed and processed via an Octatrack, and sent out to an Empress Reverb or a Strymon Timeline.

dark and heavy one!  impressive mix of gear being mashed together.

HAHA. Yeah I have a tendency to over gear-splain in my descriptions of stuff. TBH I was excited I didn't keep adding shit. Keeping it simple may be my primary weekly beats goal.

Cool vibe. So interesting to think of m8 as a sequencer, don't have any hardware myself so don't know what I'd sequence. Haha
I like how these disparate sounds combine.

good bass!

Yeah I have been all hardware for 10 or so years? Ive been searching for a strong hardware sequencer for a while. The M8 is filling that niche really well, however I just got my OXI 1 so ill have to take the plunge and drop that into one of these weeks to start learning it.

Thank you! It turned out better than I thought it was going.

Oh Yeah! that is the Schlappi Angle Grinder & 100 grit. with a lot of modulation (both by hand and through in rack CV)

Ah nice!  Another dubby type track and hardware.  smile
I'm a big OT fan too.  Nice work with the tracker.  It's one workflow that has never gelled with my brain even though I have some fave artists who have used it.

Its a new workflow for me, but its pretty intuitive. The fx lanes and tables take a bit of time to get your head around, but the community for it is really strong and more than willing to work through stuff with you. Plus being battery powered and hand held means I get to use it a lot more than other gear.

Yes, portable devices are a nice bonus.  Good for creating on the lounge or camping/travel too!

large dub echoes in a post-dub space. expressive sounds. love the old shcool wobbles in the end.
