memories are dangerous

I bought a used MPC last year, still trying to wrap my head around the workflow of it, starting to grasp it a bit better.  Recording drums from vinyl and chopping them in the MPC is really satisfying.  Another downtempo/boom bap beat for this week, next week will try something different.

This song is unreal. Love the swing in this song!

really cool vibe here, i like the way the drums are mixed.

super moody vibes, like in a cyberpunk or filmnoir movie...

Listening to Endtroducing in 96 made me want an mpc so bad.  I always wanted that cratediggin feel of finding some obscure record and making a song out of it.  Settled on used-cd-rummaging instead smile  This totally took me back to that feeling of discovery.  A head-nodder and congrats on the mpc!  Those pads always felt nice in the store.  Which model did you get?

Loving that use of sample and the echo on it at the start. Cool idea with the chopping of drums. Nice work!

The MPC always creates some magic, if it is used by the right hands. This is very beautiful indeed.

Yess, feeling this groove and drums. Great sample. You set a cool mood here. Head nodding and just going with the flow here, exactly where I want to go. I had an MPC One a couple years back and sold it to try other things, may have been too impatient with learning it before moving on.

Endtroducing has always been one of my favourite records, pretty much what inspired me to buy the MPC.  I bought the MPC live last year off an online listing, pretty sure it was stolen, guy insisted on selling it immediately, came by my house and sold it to me really cheap at 1:00 am.
Haven’t found any real gems yet on vinyl, but maybe one day

this a killer vibe, enjoyed all the way through. lovely groove and layering!

So chill

Have come close to buying an MPC in the past but I talked myself out of it as I have and use an Octatrack for sample stuff.  Really like the vocal samples here and the drums definitely have a warmth to them.  Nice.
