Model Dee

New toy time again yikes

Got one of those Behringer Model D Moog clones. It sounds phat big_smile Nearly completely outboard song, apart from the drums! Bass, arp and lead is from the Boog, other sounds from the JV2080!

Synthwave time big_smile

I don't think I'll always use the Boog on lots of tracks, but it's damn nice on some things! Gotta get use to it and not always go so crazy! I think I overdid it on this track haha

Oh my holy goodness.  This sounds SO GOOD.

Where are the drums from?  You totally nailed it.  Favorited and downloaded.  Going to put this on my driving playlist (esp. night time)

Jamatar man I think this is illegal heart This is so unbelivably solid, amazing tune

You guys are too nice big_smile

So for samples, a mate put me on to these two packs:

https://zero-g.co.uk/products/total-snare-drums

There's a little bit of processing but not much. They're really solid sample packs, I've used them on almost everything! For getting them into Cubase, I use Poise: http://www.onesmallclue.com/plugin/poise/

Poise is really great if you want to combine samples, and it's really fast / simple for navigating through samples too!

For 808 stuff like the hats, I love VR08: http://dgo.xsrv.jp/vr08/

It does something to the samples which makes it sound quite natural. Plus it's free if you only need 44khz! For some reason, I do all my production in 44khz haha dunno why.

I should make an album of synthwave driving music, it's my fav for driving at night big_smile Thanks for listening!

Zero G is where it is at!  I recently realized that Ableton is sorely lacking the weird random sound effect samples that Reason has and was thinking about buying a Zero G pack.

UM yes, please make a synthwave night drive album or at least playlist of you work!  I need it!! smile heart

There's a story here, one that features neon-lit highways and Model D robots.

Such good sound design here! Love this, Jamatar! heart
