Traverse In Reverse

Something chill this week, feeling like the world is going in reverse, and I rather be Blendering at the moment. Reversed synth patches inspired a bit by Q-Rosh's tapes and more tapes. Reversing synths means just reversing the envelopes, unfortunately this isn't something that FL has a command for oddly, so it just has to be done by hand.

Reason some for me to speaks really track this.
Why wonder I, hmmm?

these are some killer warbles!  love how understated the snare is.  actually makes the "implied beat" stand out with the reverses.  well done.

Here it comes!

It's like going forwards backwards. Isn't there a way to put a reverse effect on a track?

Very interesting, quite the trip... Damn that noise at the end.

you definitely achieved the dizzyness tape chill effect. Well done professor.

There are 3rd party vsts that can do this, also FL's Gross Beat can be made to do this but only with a 2 bar buffer. Either way, you have to do some funky pre-play stuff to fill up your buffer, and making things line up correctly is difficult. Another good way to do it is to simply record a clip and reverse it. My method is very simple, real-time, doesn't require large file size recordings, and is native FL only, so I don't have to distribute vsts etc.

Floaty pokey!

great dizzy reversiness. I like the simplicity of the beat and also bass. leaves space for the other stuff to manifest but then you can actually hear what's going on. Goes very well with the latest interview I saw from Rick Beato feat. Bernard Purdie all about leaving a lot of space in the drums, so everybody else in the band (i.e. track) can be happy! well donE!

The main pad sounds so soothing.  The percussion adds just the right amount of punch but keeps those warm tape vibes going.   Well done as always! smile

Sounds like a great interview! I'm not sure my beats are at that level though!
