Sandwichy Secrets (Secret Sauce Mix)

By Ipaghost on June 5, 2022 11:41 pm

My back and my thumb are out of commission this week, so decided to do a remix from bed. This remix of Sandwichy Secrets from Weeklybeats Week 36. This was before Sytrus was my main synth, so I recreated all the samples and instruments except for the vocals. I even recreated a few Sytrus patches that weren't mine. I've been wanting to recreate that rubber stretch and snap sound forever, and at first didn't think I got even close, but in the mix it sounds exactly perfect! How crazy is that? I also found a few extra bits in the original project that never made it to the original mix for some reason, so I mixed it in too.

NEVAR!

for real tho, you're a sytrus wizard, this isn't about secrets, this is pure magic
- Ebrit

I don't think I heard the original but what a great song. Really catchy!

Thanks!

if I actually had any decent sandwichy secrets this super catchy song would definitely make me open up and share them. I think the closest one I've got is that if you brine/pickle your onion slices in vinegar for a couple hours they go down easier AND have more flavor. anyway, that rubber band sound is pure wizardry and is weirdly making me hungry. great work.

Gimme some of that secret sauce! Hope you feel better man.

I'm one of those people that really likes the taste of raw red onion.... but this does sound like it would be great to try with a white onion. Great sandwichy secret!

Synth master at the top of their game is kind of a sight to behold, this is grandiloquent! heart

The sandwich secret: sandwich is the only cuisine where “more is more” is safe to assume. Just pile more, it’ll be great.

Aww thanks! Although "synth master" sounds a bit much. Perhaps "synthusiast" might be more apt.
The name of that sandwichy secret is the Dagwood sandwich!

When i listent to your tracks they are so ipaghosts that they cannot be mistaken for someone else. You have this rich language in your track, yet it does not sound really like other music. Like your own custom brand of sandwiches. This track made me hungry.

Jamming remix. That bass, so tasty... no sauce needed. I'm such a sucker for those classic syndrum toms! Hope you feelin better smile

Thanks! Glad you like the ipa sandwich!

Happy you jammed out to it!

The lyrical melody on
"Whisper them into my mouth
Open up and let them out"

IS SO FREAKIN' CATCHY.  I want to do a slow, lo-fi acoustic interpolation of that

also this is making me hungry

also is it supposed to be (Sercet Sauce) in the title?  Just checking.  I'm a Sandwich Quality & Accuracy Inspector.

lawd have mercy the secret piano outro was awesome and the secret SECRET detune echo fade out was epic.  wow!  you are really hitting these tracks out of the park this year, Ipa

Yeah, I'm losing my eyesight, so I frequently make typos. Thanks for catching that!
I'm happy with this year's tracks, but I'll be happier when I can stop!

Thanks! My thumb is almost back in shape, maybe it will be 100% in a couple of months. I think I messed it up by too much Blendering. But the beats probably didn't help!
