I love the use of the mario kart sound effects, especially the sound of the shell hitting a player as a percussive element. Perfectly captures the essence of mariokart, great job
Keeping it classy, man. Awesome production; they should hire you for the next MK soundtrack
You're so good at picking a theme and then shaping absolutely everything about the tune to communicate what you want to. 10/10.

I really wanted to have a few other elements, like a total wipe-out... too many last minute ideas and not enough time!
I wish inspiration came earlier in the week! Wasn't going for mario kart exactly, more like some random kart klone!

I'll be sure to ask Mr. Miyamoto next time I see him! I really dig the last mario kart 8 deluxe ost, lots of really funky brass. I had fun making these sytrus trumpets, but I have been planning on doing something a little bit more realistic in the future.
Yes, this is awesome. Everything about this works so well.

I'm glad it sounds that way! This was one of those classic "spend 90% of your time making a sytrus bass patch" followed by the mandatory "throw away the 7% that you wrote" then the inevitable "totally go 180 and do a high energy imaginary race game sound track for the last 3%" followed by the "spending the last 10 minutes making unnecessary gui sfx before even listening to the song all the way through" situations. Luckily I was able to reuse the scrapped song for the "menu" intro, which in retrospect is probably what I should of finished in the first place. this is the song that was in my head when i was showering, so I'm sticking to it! Fun-fact: I always have my phone recorder ready to record in the shower because that is literally the best place to write.

Seriously! This is so great. Amazing job IG.
Superb track, pure racing game bliss, definitely wanna play some mk now!!!
This is klassy, and dare I say bordering on swanky. The car sounds and sweeping glissandos and pitch bends are so classic! Definitely feeling like I'm in a race. This is pretty damn amazing!!! Supa fun!!

It's been ages since I've played Mario Kart, but the music and gifs are giving me serious flashbacks in a good way.
I said vidjo game and here it is! Love the sfx and startup. Like everybody else I need to play MK now! Super fun drums with the brassy synth schtuff. Yais!
