Back from the dead.

Have been busy with a lot of other projects but it's good to be back.

Worked on this piece, based on the Olsbro stone, and was kind of excited to showcase it. Got stuck however as FL completely bailed on me and none of my shit works anymore. Haven't had a time to fix it yet so it is what it is, I managed to render what I had worked out so far. Most of the structure and the different elements are where I want them to be, but the mix less so.

The Olsbro stone is quite a sad one, with most of it's runes still legible to this day. It was raised by a father in honor of his slain son:

"Gufi ræisti stæin þennsi æftiR Olaf, sun sinn, dræng harða goðan. Hann varð drepinn i Æistlandum. Havarðr hiogg stæin".

(Guve raised this stone after Olav, his son, a good and honorable young man. He was slain in Estonia. Hávarðr carved the stone).

Coming back with force! Damn, amazing track.

Atmosphere, vocals (especially!), percussion, structure... it's all SO GOOD. The "whispering" coming in at 1:37 gives it yet another dimension. I'm blown away. Well done.

love your vocal on this.
such a strong world you have built here. i was transported out into the woods, it is snowing and i can feel the sticks and leaves beneath my feet.

This is so atmospheric! I love all of the different vocal layers and how the percussion builds everything up. And that crackling and final chime at the end is almost like a warning that something intense is about to happen! Very well done!

I feel like i need this when I play D&D love this!

Woah love the percussion mixed with your vocals.  Such a hypnotic rhythm and feel to this. Excellent work!

There's a whole movie scene living in this tune, very well done!

Woah this one digs into your brain and doesn't let go. The percussion and chanted/whispered vocals are compelling. Eerie, but with some sadness.

this is stunning - i love it

A mighty and ominous aura.
