Changeling

I wanted to try something with a more complex chord progression and chromaticism this time.
Not super happy with the results, but it's done!

All done on the M8 Tracker.

Used Mikey303's amazing 303 preset for the M8 and Trash80's Synthdrums cowbell.
Hypersyn is used for the pads.
FMSynth for the bass.
FMSynth for the melody.

Great work! Overall it's a solid piece and I think you delivered on your goals. I really like the time change in the bridge, really groovy

Loved it. The lead is great, 303 is always great and you’re incredibly light handed with it. The complexity turns it into a journey with these distinctive chapters. It’s great.

Nice!!! The middle bit feels like a journey into the dark world! Hahahaha... Also, I just love that Lil cowbell sound. Great use of it!

Classic mood changes of bright and happy to dark and uncertain - keeping it weird and Impbox!

Very cool impbox, I liked it, hard to judge your own stuff I guess

The chords are definitely fine, and the variation is a nice touch.

As experiments go, it's pretty damn good!  All the atonal movement makes it a wild journey, but still has a solid central motif and core idea that creates a through line for the whole piece, and the texture change at 02:20 is a really nice shift in tone.  All in all it creates like a dark retro dreamscape... like being lost in a cyberpunk version of Jim Hensons Labyrinth. I dig it.

That 303 preset is just wowzers. I like how dreamy the tune background is, it makes it relaxing even with the chaos in the front. The break at 2:20 is unexpected and very welcome!

Great tune, need to check that 303 preset. Sounds great.

Feels like three tracks in one, as 2:2x and 3:15 kick in. cool  I dig the sound of the pads and how each section keeps developing over time.

nice bits of acid in here, combined with fm sound design reminiscent of some megadrive sounds - good tune!

Really liked the chromatic usage of the 808 cowbell for ambience and mellowness. The drum programming is pretty clever and always suggests change, without ever oversaturating the arrangement smile
