PO-33 K.O. + Smpltrek

A year ago javiermf lent me a PO-33, wanted to return it to him. Monday to thursday I created some patterns on the PO using the stock sounds plus a yelling sampled some time ago. Made a sequence so it was some sort of song.
Recorded it on the SmplTrek while making a video with my phone. One as-is and the second one adding some PO effects and some misperformance by my side smile.

Thursday I returned the PO to its owner and challenge him to create his song over it. It wasn't an easy task but the result is outstanding: https://weeklybeats.com/javiermf/music/ … our-dreams . Big fan, great work!

From thursday on made a mix of the two versions on the SmplTrek, adjusting volumes, cutting off the discordant parts and added a tape echo effect.
Then I worked on the video. Fuck! The two takes were made in such a precarious way that it was imposible to make transitions on them. So I embraced the mistakes and tried to hide the problem overlapping the two takes and adding some effects that distorted the images.

I like pixel melting effect result and the transparent flesh. If anybody asks me I will say it is a work based on a deep reflection on the mix of human and machines applied to the sub-genre of tutorial-like videos, but of course not a product of chance and errors big_smile

Hope you like it, I totally enjoyed the process.

Very groovy beat! I especially like the moment where the drums and melody end up in sync around 1:00 - feels like an impactful contrast. I thought this sounded a bit familiar - realized I've also listened to javiermf's track! Such a cool process with great results.
