Sounds quick but not in a hurry. The tinkling glass sounds are magical. ![]()
It's nice to see you in 2026!
I like the range of sounds - from the glitchy staccato tight hihat-like pattern, and the huge bass sounds. The slow piano is a nice counterpoint to that for rhythm and atmosphere.
I am looking froward to listening to more tracks from you this year!
listening on repeat this morning. always refreshing and inspiring.
i hear some melodic & spiritual (probably the wrong word) nods to Björk Guðmundsdóttir, always a good thing in my book.
thank you for your music, ilzxc ![]()
Hi 👋. I listened to yer track first and it must have been felt cuz you were the first comment. Now need to go comment, lol, been a while and I’m so so happy to be back even if it’s just speedtrash for now.
Huzzah indeed!!!! good to hear you hear
Heeey, excited to hear from you too, been a while (only posted a tiny handful in 2024) and excited to be back. You know I gave you a shout out on my Chasing the Beats podcast and kinda tried to volunteer you for an episode… just saying would love to hear about your process(es).
Welcome back, love me some fm, let’s go.
It’s gonna be an FM heavy year because FORS is amazing and so is my Digitone II. Glad to hear from you, let’s go 2026!

Kedbreak! Love your way, excited to hear from you and would love to fix an error of omission: no ilzxc remixes nor collabs with kedbreak, so maybe this year yeah?
Tight FM work. your percussion is so precise.
Love your work so much, been keeping up haphazardly with your monthly drops cuz really like things you make. I’ve gotten into Nanoloop over the last few years so I’m hoping to get some pointers from the NL badasses! Thanks for listening!

JWH! Thanks for warm words, I’ve been a bit down on it yesterday but there’s a couple of things that are side effects of delay that would be nice to maybe properly develop now that pitch shifts taught me something. Very stoked to be doing WB with you this year, also!
Thanks everyone, feels really fucking good to be baaack!
Welcome back! There's a cool thing going on here where the main synths sound mellow and chilled out, but the rhythm sounds edgy and anxious so somehow I'm left feeling both at the same time.
Oof the percussion elements in this are restoring my defragged brain. Ear candy all about. Consider me a fan of your 'speedtrash' ![]()

Welcome back to you too! Really liked your episode of Chasing the Beats, where you inexplicably kept pointing out that your fascinating tales were somehow “off topic” — great episode, awesome tales, would love to hear more.
I appreciate the anxiety / chill observation, I noticed that also and committed to this bit so it’s really cool to hear that you heard it too.

Too kind given the relatively low effort, ear candy is probably because of Ess and his delightful FORS.FM toolkit. Nice to see you in my comments, welcome back, excited to catch up on your work!
That much ear candy can't be healthy for me. nom nom nom nom.
Thanks for not being like “where’s that remix you started in April?!”
what a vibe. so organic. i - want - more!!
Yoooh, thanks for listening, anyone with a 303 in their name has a 76% more likelihood to be cool. Looking forward to hearing yer tunes.
Nice QuickDirty track! Understated, good vibe without trying too hard! Glad you’re back!
fors and felt are the vst homies
u and me are the irl homies
this is great speedtrash, honestly just a nice intro for your year with some CRISPY sound design. the ramp up sound (that is isolated at the end) is great

That's very kind! Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the monthly beats stuff.
I love nanoloop, in particular the mobile version. You can do a lot with layering sounds, then resampling them and min maxing the sequencer to imitate echo or doppler effects. It's always a fun challenge to see how you can abuse the sequencer no matter what version you use. Gesceap's Tutorials helped me get inspired by it after many NanoLoop-less years. I think they are a great entry points to the more tricky stuff (I also just like his music
)
I have kind of slowed down with NL due to some bug frustrations but still tinker with it on occasion. Feel free to ping me in discord about it. I am always down to chat about techniques.

Heeey, welcome back! Loved your episode of chasing the beats, looking forward to new horatiu tunes
Immediate favourite!
Too kind, thanks -- looking forward to getting to know your music!
tasty and satisfying
RAJAAAAAAA you bringer of mayhem -- wrote a super long comment on your tune, but forgot to copy/paste before "Submit Comment" so it was lost. I'm really really stoked to see you doing this (and I complimented your guitar playing, but I'll try to recreate the spirit of that comment, maybe try to say OH DUDE a little less).

OH DUDE!!...
ahem. omg hi! I didn't know how much I missed WB until I posted some speed trash and immediately am unable to sleep in WB ideas mode. This place is magic and you & emily are (to me) WB's guardians / archangels. First week experience complete with "Orange Drink in the comments" achievement unlocked. Let's plan for some illrange drinzxc / orazxc illrink type collab this year -- stretch goal to do it irl...
Happy new year ilzxc, I am looking forward to hear more of your incredible innovative and outstanding good music in 2026. this one was the perfect appetizer.

Q-Rosh!!! Happy new year! I missed hearing your music and wasn’t sure if I didn’t see yours yet or if you hadn’t posted. Looking forward to more of your dreamlike ventures into the obscure. Welcome back and happy new year!
Love those snappy rhythms. Bring me the speedtrash!
... I can't promise that won't happen. Thanks for listening to my speed trash.
行きましょう!!! (〜^∇^)〜 Super hypnotic, great opener for the year.
thanks for listening.
Welcome back!
Love the contrast of crunchy beats and pulses with the smoothness of the main melody. Bass enters so smoothly to take it home. fors.fm looks interesting btw. I hadn't seen it before.
Welcome! Sounds great! Nice melody here. Love the fors intruments.
The chill timbres and styles against the funky meter make for another delightful song!
Happy new year, glad you're back this round!
Excellent tune!
Yoooh, been a crazy year so far but I’m trying to catch up on everything WB-related! So great to see you back, welcome back and to many new tunes ahead!

Hey! Glad to see you here! A belated welcome back — excited to hear all of your work and get equal parts humbled and inspired by your sounds
Welcome! Sounds great! Nice melody here. Love the fors intruments.
Miles, man, sorry for sleeping (actually more like running around with no head on) on your kind comment. You’re an Ableton user, yeah? I’ve used DAWs for many years before jumping ship to hardware and now that I’m trying to do both hardware-controlled Ableton and hardware-controlled other hardware it’s a bit of a… nightmare. Would love to chat you up sometime if you’re doing both hardware and software sound generation at the same time…

Hella stoked you’re doing WB and thanks for listening to my shiiit. ![]()
Hey, replying to your reply! Yeah, I'm Ableton and hardware user. Use the Push 3 in both standalone and controller mode. Love that most of the Fors stuff works in standalone, I have mainly played with Dyad. For hardware only I just do big free flowing jams on various gear, love my Novation boxes. Record it all and give myself the grief of editing it into a track later in Ableton, but the hardware only jams are fun, especially with friends like license in the room too! Then while editing, I may add some more Ableton sounds as needed. Happy to chat sometime!
