Swords on the Dance Floor

By iHz on February 4, 2024 8:58 pm

I'm back! January was a rough month for me but I'm hoping I'll be able to get back into the flow of WB this month!

As usual, this track was composed & rendered entirely on the Dirtywave M8. I originally started this track for Week 2 but got stuck after the first "verse" and it took some experimentation to figure out where to go with it from there.

This is my first time using the Hypersynth instrument. I haven't played with it much, yet. I still need to read that section in the manual lol.  I just found a sound that I liked and went with it. I'm looking forward to playing with it and finding creative ways to use it.

Happy February!

So cute n bouncy! Chiptune FTW

I really enjoyed this, what a bop! Well done!

Amazing track! It's got a Crypt of the NecroDancer vibe to it.

iHZ tracks are the best—no one else can make a hummable danceable chippable banger quite like this.  Every section is interesting and dynamic... and I feel like if I listened just a little bit harder, I could make out the words the lead parts are singing.  Absolute earworm (and—obviously—added to Favorites)

Excellent! Favorited!

Holy smokes, this is such excellent quality chip music!!!! Thank you for the incredibly fun tune!!! I'm 100% going to be following your other WB submissions closely!

woah! great stuff! very demoscene wink

This is so good it makes me want to make chiptunes.

This is amazing chiptune, wonderful composition
Just some chips dancing
