Resist

By iHz on May 8, 2022 1:45 pm

This is another track that I started working on a long time ago. I hadn't written any melodies for it, it was just the bass drone & drums. I decided to start messing with it this week and I kinda like how it turned out. It gives me an industrial kind of vibe.

I was trying to think of a good title for this song - something with the theme of resistance and/or uprising. I was thinking "Resistance is not futile" but my friend suggested "Resist" (thanks Ben!) and it's perfect.

I've once again fallen behind on listening to last week's tracks. I'll get caught up this week! I hope you all had a great week 18!

Once again, you bring emotions to the front with melodies that possess simplicity, yet also lyricism.    Great use of vibrato and great tune

Whoa, Jean Michel Jarre vibes in the intro! So much buzzy badassery! heart

(I have probably said this many times, but I think you're in a league of your own w/r/t small number of elements explored to their maximum potential. Your music is stunning and your articulation is goddamn perfect. The colloquial version is "love your shiiiiiit.")

Spot on.

I love how heavy and epic this one is. Definitely feels powerful and uplifting! Incredible sense of melody as always!

That's some good melody you added.

digging the industrial edge to this piece - fits the title/theme well!

This is really great. Love the call and response part, amazing writing

Thank you! I'm glad the "heavier" feel came across. That's exactly what I was going for!

Thank you! I love call/response kind of melodies. I probably over-use them but they just sound so good haha.
