My Beloved, Let Me In

By horatiuromantic on May 1, 2022 9:08 pm

My beloved princess I must woo, if it's the last thing I do!

I composed this together with Milan Grajetzki and OpenAI (thru aidungeon.io) for my nordic game jam game of the same name. Play it here for free: https://lars.itch.io/ohbelovedletmein

I performed the "accordion" (it's actually from the free Numa Player iOS) on the little novation launchkey mini that I recently got, and I'm very happy with. Vocals recorded with the Zoom H5 with the shotgun-6 module borrowed from a friend. Recorded one by one, since we had to allow any permutation of voices to be playable in game. Some guitar and the clanking skeleton castagnettes made in Staffpad.

Thanks to Andreas Lagerstedt and Lars Bindslev for the great backing vocals!

If you do plan to serenade someone with this song, make sure to invite me to the wedding!

Very fun track!

What a treat! Such lovely harmonies. Great atmosphere going on in the background, and just such a pleasant live feel to it all. Bravo!

That was an interesting concept for a game, I dug how more layers of the song unlocked as you gathered more townsfolk. Dungeon skeleton is the true wingman.

That was epically hilarious! Very out of field track even by diverse weekly beats standards. smile
