It will be a song

Another one from the bar. This time acoustic piano, vocals and effects. I had fun recording it and playing with the effects. Hope you have fun listening!

Cool song! The laid back (maybe slightly drunk) character of the vocals really feels like itโ€™s late night at a bar. The piano run in the beginning is perfect!

Digging the cocktail bar theme.  Lovely piano playing as usual, sounds great.

man! It made me remember the conversation about repetition and Kjartansson we had the other day: dig into it!
I really like how you created the live feeling, with effects and even the applause at the end. this can almost be another of you classic stuff: voice and piano, no need for anything else!

Nice chord at minute 01:35 and lovely change of rhythm at 02:20, almost like a bossanova. I would like to see this played in a real live, maybe a real cocktail bar smile

great playing

Delightful, made me smile, makes me miss my upright which is sitting over there waiting to be restored (soon!), really quite a lovely little song!

Dang, I wanna learn piano! So good! The clapping at the end was great, haha!

It sounds so lonely. It sounds like a broken heart. But the ending is giving hope confidence back. Applause!! Well done

Was gonna ask the FX then saw you detailed them ๐Ÿ™‚

Very nice sound. Keys excellent again

Wonderful piano tones and singing voice. Makes me want to drink alcohol.

It already is a song - or do you mean it will be with some sax?

Beautiful piece. The choice of reverb for the voice and the placement in the mix works well, as background music with a lot of melancholy. Splending playing.

I really love chill piano tunes like these, you did a wonderful job with this one. I can really hear a fantastic range of expression both vocally and through the piano. Awesome job!!!

Thanks a lot! I'm feeling good about that intro run too! And even tho I don't actually drink irl, I like being in this kinda spirit.

Thanks a lot! The Kjartansson video popped up a few times for me this week, I will have it as an inspiration for a long time for sure!

Glad to hear it! Def make the best of that upright! Enjoy it for those of us who don't have one on hand.

It's sad but funny. That's life sometimes! Thanks for listening!

Yes! I recommend playing with these analog replica effects and trying to use them as they did in real life back in the day. That teaches you to recreate some of these sounds and then you don't have to do the same, but at least you know how to do it.

Thanks! Nah don't do it! Try some alcohol free wheat beer, that's what I enjoy these days.

That's the thing, if there's something I learned is that whatever shitty thing I go through in the end it's alright and it will sooner or later be a song ;D

That said it would be pretty sweet to throw in a delicious moist sax solo in one of these. Jelly of u! I'm working on it tho...

Thanks a lot! I like how the atmospheric noise worked out in this one. It does feel quite rough around the edges when it comes to the composition and performance itself but the atmosphere makes it work better. In many years I won't know if it was live or not hahah (nah I'll def know)

Nice! Thanks a lot! One of my fav musicians is Shirley Horn who plays piano and sings in this style. She's a big inspiration and her stuff is wildly good, and also can be extremely slow and mellow. Maybe this right here is one of the best things I ever heard (sound quality aside): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5YfHbKMIj0

Time for a drinky poo

The piano is so lovely smile "It will be a song" feels like an appropriate weekly beats mantra. Next week as I'm banging my head against the wall with no ideas, I'll come back to hear you sing "it will be a song" haha.

I also like to write at the bar! I appreciate the sincerity that comes through in your lyrics.

diarrhea?

Personally I really love the lines "it will be a song", because it is so simple..kind of mundane but that's why it is so sublime. and it fits with the laid back vibe of the song itself. Beautiful.

Even if you fuck up in life, it can still be a song.
