This week was drum week for me. I decided this week to start out with drums (and add synths in a panic on sunday) as opposed to my usual routine.
I got some very helpful tips from Dreat which really helped me to think about placing drums more intentionally within a bar to add emphasis.

The full drum part was made on my phone using nanoloop, I planned on using just to sketch out some ideas but ended up pretty happy with the exported loop so I just left it as a single stereo channel in the daw.

Listening back with fresh ears I absolutely drowned it in reverb and dalay XD
Thanks for the kind words!

I'm really happy with the drums too. Definitely paid off putting more focus there than usual.

Thanks! Fun fact: that vocal adlib is like 2 samples before the main hook of "what is love" on the zero-G sample CD

Thanks! After getting the snare rhythm down it felt right to give the bass a bouncy up/down feel to keep the push-pull going.

If a track has good drums and a good groove the rest is almost secondary for me big_smile And your track has them both. Nicely done!
