the thrill of the tightrope walker

I *think* I'm in cgcgcd tuning.  capo on 2nd fret so a bit of extra chime.  feel better about this than my previous efforts in this tuning.  think I struggled with the first string tuned to d last time - my brain doesn't like that interval apparently.

as usual, my trusty fylde Alexander acoustic straight into my iPhone.  started a little after eleven pm when all the house chores and washing put away.  iPhone was propped on my right knee as I sat cross legged in my lounge playing.  eq and reverb applied in Ableton.

you can probably hear the filter of the fish tank in the background if you listen closely enough.

Beautiful vibes

I like the B part that it's not quite on the grid.

I like very much the latter half where a bit of minor harmony pops its head in for a sec.

Nice! How did you record this? Stereo mic? It really pops and yes nice to not be totally governed by the grid

Yeah, I already commented under a different video that it's hard to believe what people can record with their phone now. It sounds great, and stereo!

The song this week sounds lovely, too! Subtly emotive and sentimental.

well damn
