our faces split against the harbour

pleased I managed to pull together a full arrangement.

made the mistake of recording the main guitar straight in.  I usually record through my pedalboard then into Ableton.  caused me significant indecision but eventually settled on something.

pleased that my bass vi made an appearance again and feel happier with it this week.  the gen loss seems to be a bit of a staple at the moment.

guitar amp tones provided by a dream 65

still enjoying the baby audio ba1 synth for bass sounds.

chorus uses a major 2nd chord which is a bit of a different vibe for me.

really trying to focus on getting my vocals sounding better.  need to play around with the mix to get them to glue together a bit more next time.

there is a dodgy note from the panned right guitar in the verse if you listen closely enough but shhhhh.

Sounds painful. The harbor thing that is. The guitars sound lovely.

Thanks! Part of me was aiming for a shoegaze take on pavement.

love the guitar tones, and the vocal harmonies are real pretty too!

this fucking rules wow heart the guitars sound so clean too it's fantastic

Another great track!

Dreamy!

Nice clean (and dirty later) guitar tones. And yes, tons of choices something leads to nowhere...

Transitions are well done.

Well played!

Great to see HTA back for another WB!   There is so much character between the instrumentation and vocals (special shout-out to those vocals).  Feels like a different overall color for you; maybe it's that major 2nd in the chorus?  In any case, it feels lovely throughout.  Looking forward to seeing where you go with this in the next 50 weeks. tongue

awesome! proper song! the style allows for the cuts between sections to be so obvious, it's kinda cool! probably to do it live this way its tough cause the sound has to change on a dime. probably not the goal to do live tho? anyway good one!
love the backing vocals / doubling.

yo this is fantastic

Dialed tones and vocal performance. Sounding good. Love when the distortion kicks in for the chorus. Sounds right.

Awesome stuff, you absolutely aced it
There's something delightfully weird going with the harmony in the pre-chorus (?) and I'm 100% into it

lovely!

this is so good!  love the dreamy laid back progression throughout.  your guitars sound awesome and love the harmony between them and your vocals.  Well done!
