second week running for an acoustic guitar submission.

quite like starting at 11pm when working like this and seeing what I get out of the hour.

prefer the recording quality from last week.  think balancing my iPhone on my knee seems to sound better than propping it up on a plastic Ikea chair.  ymmv

processed in Ableton with vallahala verb, bit of eq and ozone.

tuning is cgcgcd (swapped it around a bit from last week's cgdgce)

When the playing is clean, it translate pretty good even if it is from iPhone on IKEA chair...

I did like this quite a lot.

awesome how easy it is to record these days...
nice picking.

beautiful! I agree with you, last week the sound is more spanky and rich. maybe the composition also was a bit more lyrical. Last week feels like it has more melody embedded in the fingering. and a better use of motifs and continuously building on phrases. This track feels more like accompaniment and lacks the main voice. there are parts with a stronger melody around 1:10-1:20 ish but in the beginning it's not really there.

Have you finished some guitar music already and put it out there? if not, have you tried composing these guitar pieces more thoroughly and finishing some of the sketches into proper songs? I feel like the sketches are already so good, but with a bit of polish and analyzing for instance where you might need to highlight the melody more or improve the flow or whatever, you could really make some amazing songs and release them as albums, even as iphone recordings!

By the way you should watch Dominic Miller interview by Rick Beato on youtube if you haven't already.

Very nice. I dug last weeks submission too. Glad to hear someone doing something different on here. I didn't expect to hear beautiful acoustic guitar arrangements when I signed up.

I reeeeally like the warm feeling throughout this tune. Feels very down-to-earth. Lovely!!!

Beautiful ❤️

Very relaxing

The fingerpicking and the sound is awesome. Like your workflow.

Nick Drake vibes! I like this a lot. It's amazing this was recorded with a phone yikes
