I was on a gig with Mike Gambone, a great drummer, when I started this track. I asked him what time signature he liked and he said 7/8 so there you have it.

I like the punchy crispness of this. The bass line that comes in around 40 and again at 134 adds a nice structure. Nice warpy outro.

I also sometimes go with 7/8. Your rendition here is deliciously spacious and open. Also love the sound design, those lead synths almost sound bowed at times. Very expressive.

generally prefer 7/4 but when Mike Gambone says 7/8 I'm going to write in 7/8. dug your track as well!
