and so we wrap up february with another moody piece. this is something i'd been tinkering with for a little while: building chords from a long sampled note from an old keyboard with dust damage, hence the crackling sounds. i really wanted to use that texture. in all the layering it turned into something like debris being blown by the wind. i wanted the rhythm tracks to be subtle and quiet and just barely underscore the pads, but as i built the track up the beats wanted to emerge bigger and stronger. i am fairly satisfied with it.

Love the extended soundscape at the beginning. The contrast between the crunchy sounds and pad is really nice. Great break too!

Love this! Always a fan of atmospheric pieces, but especially when they have cool harmonic and melodic qualities as does yours. The crackling gives it so much warmth and life. Favorited. Thanks for sharing

The break melt in to the rest of the misty textures perfectly.

This is very very nice.
