Anthem for recovery

By hent03 on August 7, 2022 10:13 am

Nothing particularly original this week, just some jamming on the op-z as I slowly get myself back to full health. I came up with this as I was thinking about the things I was looking forward to: returning to jiujitsu, visiting the local cafe for an iced coffee, wandering the city with my wife, and going to see a movie—nothing especially exciting, I know, but just the little joys of everyday life that I had been missing while sick.

Just when you think that bass can’t go any lower… it does. The little break a minute is super tasty. The tap delay on the claps has a great rhythm. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

lovely track, get well soon :-)

Get well soon. At least you still have music going on.

Really liked the whole thing but particularly the section that begins around 1:24.  Hope you get better in a hurry!

love how this keeps surging and surging on a constant rise, like a literal uplift through music! big_smile

Hope all the little things can get done soon enough. Get well! Take care.

JPD.

Excellent groove to this and really like that main bell-like melody that gets introduced.  It had a calming feel to it that reminded me a bit of some of Moby's older ambient tracks.  Hope you are feeling better soon and back to the lil things soon!

Random notes!
I like the clap based rhythm! The bell melody is really nice, I like the tone you get and it complements the "brass" like synth. Mid-way, you take out most elements, and we're left just with the bell and the clap - nice dynamic before building back into the track. I like the flow of this track, how it evolves very naturally and the general positive atmosphere I get from it (claps will do that).

this is a magical fun recovery anthem!

I love this title. Always something to recover from, and we need music to do so smile This is a lovely song, captures the hope and joy of doing those simple things you mention looking forward to getting back to. All about the simple things really. Very nice walking around getting coffee and being happy song!

Quite a lovely track!  Elements of the melodic material remind me of Orbital.  Nice deep bass and the dancing repeats on the claps work well.  Good to hear you're on the mend.

catching up on your tracks, I missed that you got COVID - sorry buddy, glad you are on the mend.  I love your list of "little joys" - Keep those in mind as you get better, you'll get there!

Great track, OP-Z sounds so good - the arp at the half is really triumphant sounding, and then it opens up - great stuff.
