PTFO Blues

- I've never sung in front of anyone, making this by far, the most important song I've ever written.

- First time I have ever been recorded singing, or attempted to mix a song with vocals.

- I don't even know what the signal chain should be haha. Ended up with comp, comp, eq, reverb, delay.

- Song is about getting angry playing a video game (LOL).

- I had no plan/ vision for this, it just kind of happened. One way or another, it's driving beat made it very fun to write/ experiment with.

Lyrics:

-Verses
Time and time again, I'm back right where I started
cant find a groove, somethings wrong I better focus and try

surely somethings off, hard to think we couldn't take it
the objective, irrespective, of the teams should be mine

here I am, once again, didn't make it to the front line,
no compromise, cant open my eyes, as I charge into the fray

worst one yet, poor attempt, of course it ended badly
frustrated, agitated, deflated, inside

looks like I am done, no longer fun, I have call it
its not a place, for this headspace, I wont deny

I drop my gun, I'm out its over

-Chorus1

Games are fun, while we are dumb, its all in our mind
just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride

-Chorus2

fake reality fueling the ego inside
frustration from recreation denied

Dude!!!!! Well done, and I bet thats a bit of a nervous milestone overcome. You did really good, but is it weird that I thought it doesnt sound like "you"? You know what I mean, I wouldnt have guessed that was your singing voice, but you did a ripper of a job.

Wowza! Queensrÿche vibes! Empire! I would never know that you haven't been putting yourself out there for a long time. You've either been practicing alone for a long time, or you have an unfair portion of natural talent that you shouldn't hide. Great job!!

yeah, overcoming a huge nervous milestone. I think i've had the ol' covid since late last week, hasn't really effected my throat but i've felt a bit off, it was pretty comfortable singing with a thinner nasal tone so I just went with it. I'm kinda curious to see what I can sound like in future experiments.

Haha, its funny you say that, because it's exactly the record (Empire) I've been listening to for the last week, I was absolutely having a crack at a "I'll tell ya right now they got nothin to loose" type thing lol

I sang driving to and from work every day (40min a day) for 13 years, but haven't done so for 12 months. Now I've pushed through this mental barrier I'm hoping I'll be able to refine and develop my voice.

Thank you for your positive comments!!

love the aggressive feel here!

Congratulations, my man. It sounds awesome, on time and in pitch and a lovely timbre to boot.
