2 minute noodles, with extra noodles

Surely I'm not the only one that inhales 2 packets at once?

Anyway, in this case I'm talking guitar noodling.

This one is a bit loose, however a return to real guitars. Found it pretty difficult coming up with enough riffs for the base of the track plus licks to formulate a guitar solo in the time frame (then learning it well enough for recording). I think I need to review my writing process - especially writing leads.

Either way its a cool jam I think. Was supposed to be a 3:30 full song, but was only half way through by Sat so bailed haha. Had the opportunity to invest another 4 hours trying to nail the solo but decided I would rather be done than perfect. Its hard for me as a perfectionist to do that, so I'm noting it here for future when I read back later in the year. *Gives self pat on the back*

I really need to up my efforts in the first half of the week. I shouldn't be running mixes the morning of.

Wait... am I not supposed to wait until Sunday to finish writing my song?

The opening riff grabbed me so hard. Dig it! I like the simple bass line, moves nicely in opposition to the guitars at the right moments. Well done on the lead guitar.

My one constructive critique is that after the solo, when the intro riff comes back in, the energy dies a bit. Would have been great to have a bit of a semi-solo on that part, matching or harmonizing with the rhythm riff just to add that extra oomph until the finish.

Nice work! Favorited.

Haha, yep, I agree with all of this. The ending was literally "Ugh, just slap that opening riff on again and be done with it". Wouldn't have taken much to keep that energy going in hindsight.

Thanks for listening, plus feedback!

Neat stuff! Guess the theme of this week was noodles, and everybody delivered!
...I should get noodles delivered. I'm hungry now. tongue

Just go full out and open a noodle bar, cause them's tasty noods. I love when you guys whack something together and its this good.

Mmmmmm, I love me some good nooooods! Especially when the noods are this good! *tummy rumble*

I mean... I guess we COULD do it before Sunday, but where's the thrill and excitement of impending doom (deadline) if we're actually, y'know... prepared... tongue

Should we just give up on the music store thing and do a noodle bar instead? Or maybe I'm just hungry...

Mmmm, shreddy.

Tasty noodle jams.
