PIC

10k / low stakes shared some 90s sample packs, used some pads, came up with this idea.

I've been working on it from time to time, but it won't get any better, slow and heavy, simple.

Groovy slow jamz :-)

Really love the acid-esque bass on this a lot. Intro / ending material evokes 90s industrial without sounding too much like 90s industrial.

Yeah some kind of plate reverb pad makes it a bit industrial plus the slow pitched drums

Everyone just relax

Cool bass rhythm! I like this air ambient sound, I imagine it's wind in a dark night forest.

Interesting idea

What samples for strings/violin are you using in your song this week, i like it.

love that dark industrial vibe and how it floats ethereal at times... so good!

Quite good definition... and that detuned lead synth at 0:40 gives it some certain Sheffield flavour. Evocative, yet never pastiche...

Is the name associated to the PIC microcontroller, in any way?

Yeah either PIC for microcontroller or image pic.

Funny enough used to live in Sheffield

A few people said this, i didn't intend it to be industrial but it does have the feeling. In all honesty it might be fun to try to make some industrial style music

You, I don't know what else to call that sound that's blowing through the entire song but dies down at 0:50 only to pick up full force shortly after
- Ebrit

It's not sample, but I use it's called Synth1 is the strings, and most melody instruments. A synth I find this year and is a favorite now smile

As my default approach tends to be “how much can I push the tempo of this track”, I appreciate a track that is actually downtempo and uses that to set an atmosphere and yet does not lack in energy. It has more… gravitas? I like the melodies in this track and the general atmosphere you created.

Funny enough lately I've been thinking about making slower tunes so I can make double time breaks and really push that kind of feeling
