ONE BEAT PER WEEK //:2:// "He Shines in SIlence"

By CairN on May 13, 2022 8:03 pm

So, i've decided to alternate between fresh projects and finishing "old ideas/work in progress" tracks every week. This week it's a one year old project which already contained the musical ideas but that i didn't succeed to structure... So that's what i tried to do, and here it is smile  I'm not totally satisfied but i kinda like it.

Marimba's hella nice in this, and the beat goes hard (nice filter sweep on the drums, loved the low passed sound, smaaaaacks around 1:44). The guitar bit around 4:00 is awesome -- part of me wishes the strings didn't come in so soon, part of me really loves them. Excellent vibe, and the title's words to live by: a very poetic reminder to STFU. big_smile heart

Thank you! Nice detailed comment smile for the strings thing, it's more global: it's hard (for me) to calibrate the duration of each sequence, should I let this pattern turning one more time etc
The structuration is a fuckin nightmare for me. Really the hard part of the job

Lotta things happening, calm, then hectic

really loved the overall mix and ideas merged into this track. While you might not be satisfied, it was totally satisfying.
