Oh noez, I went to check out some of alette's tunes and it looks like they're all gone? Like EVERYTHING except one song, 2020 included. Anyone know what happened to them?
NOOOOOO Alette was seriously one of my all time faves. Me and Gesceap were curious to find out who they were. :'(
Doesn't phpBB have a

ADDING YOU TO THE NOMINATIONS LIST
(I think I kinda misinterpreted the assignment, may the gods of fruits drinks have mercy on me)
these are all awesome! now delete all your posts (I saved them) so it will be a surprise for everyone ![]()
UPDATE:
///////////////
Hi everyone! You may remember my WB 2020 Congratulations video. I'm going to do another one ![]()
Something that I thought might be fun would be if we gave out "awards". I know we all work really hard at this and I think it's important to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work and commitment - even for those who just contributed one track. It's still a great achievement!
My idea is that everyone is really good at something unique, so everyone should get an award for the thing they are great at!
EXAMPLE:
Most Stressful Intros: Catchinashes
Fastest Songwriter: Spry
Greatest Amount Of Robot-Animal Violence: Kedbreak136
I will keep a list here of people already nominated. If you want to be nominated, please let me know! If you want to nominate one of your friends, just do it!
MESSAGE ME YOUR NOMINATION BEFORE 1/25:
on discord or drew AT hemlockrecords DOT com
[don't publicly post your nomination, I will reveal it in the video as a surprise]
NOMINATIONS CLOSED, SEE YOU AT THE AWARDS!

!!!!!!!!!!
I've been trying to avoid asking for an upload link this year, but realized the volume was kinda messed up for my Week 15 submission. Could I please get a re-upload link?
Just an FYI I think you will lose the glorious comments
Can I have an upload link, please? I started rendering my project (after updating to macOS Catalina) and some plugins got frozen big time. I had to reboot and re-render (without the offending plugins) so I missed the deadline.
Thanks in advance. I shouldn't upgrade the OS on Weeklybeat days
I just upgraded to Catalina and had to wipe the HD and downgrade because Final Cut Pro wouldn't work! Luckily I backed up beforehand and the restoration process was very simple. But upgrade headaches SHEESH! I keep my music comp offline for this very reason. Hope you can get those plugins back in action!
Biggest lesson from month 1: I need a sleep schedule!
Slowly learning how to estimate the time of making a video though, so that's cool.
Going to slowly start listening to more contemporary music in an effort to educate myself.
GrandpaQueen has entered the building!
good idea!
video squaddddd
here's #1 & #2
Any fellow chess players out there?
Perhaps this is kind of random, but if there’s any fellow chess players out there, should we set up a slow-moving correspondence tournament to play during the WB 2022 year? We could even compose theme tunes for the game arcs.
(I’m fartein_ at chess.com)
I haven't played in years, but if there's a tourney, count me in!
I agree! Everyone is awesome! Even the "oh this is a throwaway track" - I can still hear the ideas and the fun of tentatively exploring an idea.
The most common trait seemed to be an instrument though – the m8 tracker of which I was unaware of before entering this year's WB. Must be quite a piece of kit since so many of you were inspired to use it.
The creator of the WB website also created the M8! There's been a great community surrounding the M8's production & development - so that's why there's a new influx of people. All the M8 people are certainly making me want to get one ![]()
