Think I might be ready for another round.

Does posting about it make it official?

Wow, this is actually a genius idea. I'm a little surprised no one has thought to build this site before.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with myself now that WB is over, and I bet that setting up something at your site will be that thing. Thanks!!

Upcoming title for Week 45: "But when everyone said to do it, we decided to go for it and do the best we can."

Not sure why it took this long to realize I should be titling my tracks using these spam comments.

oh nose! bitrate nonsense.. anyways. You will have to delete your submission first. Then use the following link to upload a new one.

Thanks!

There's some bitrate nonsense on my track, can I get a re-up link? Thanks!

I've droned on for 3hrs and 35 minutes so far.

When I'm not forced to half-ass it because of other schedule issues, I tend to spend Tue/Wed/Thur just thinking about what I might feel like working on for the week. Often that means thinking about what instruments and mood fit my current mentality (loops/rhythm, piano/synth, Samplr, distortion?).

By Friday I like to have recorded all my sounds and casually played around with how to arrange them. After that I let the sounds bounce around in my head some more and spend a few hours on Saturday and Sunday arranging everything and adding final touches.

I prefer to spend almost as much time away from the sounds as I spend working with them, as a way to keep it fresh and give my brain a chance to think of what we can do differently. All-in-all, I tend to spend about 10 hours over the week actually working with instruments and the computer. That ranges widely by week of course.

Hey Phil, thanks for the link!

It appears that my track for this week cuts off around the 4 minute mark (including the download version), although the mp3 I uploaded works just fine. Can I get a hook up? #prettyplease

Am I past the deadline for a fresh link? Is this not the place to ask? I've never asked for a link or anything before so maybe I'm doing it wrong. Sorry and Thanks!

I've got a Patchblock also but have only played with it briefly.  Any favourite patches?  I think I tried a distortion/filter patch which was my preferred one.  I found the editor a bit buggy.  Probably need to spend a bit more time with it.

I had a sneaking suspicion you might might have gotten in on the Patchblocks. ;-)

I've mostly been messing with generic ideas to get my head around what's possible in the limited RAM. My main focus this weekend was a little granular thing I built using Roll blocks. I used that patch to spruce up my track this week, FWIW.

I think next I'm going to delve into with the user-created Feedback blocks. I think there's some really great options for delay/reverb/grains to be found in there. And yeah, I would love to replace my generic distortion pedal with something better that I build on my own.

I got the rainbow set which opens up a ton more options than a single block. If you're into programming and being a control-freak, these little blocks are just fantastic. Not sure if you poke your head around the forum at that site, but I go by "smirky" over there.

Thought I'd introduce a few new members of my family. These little guys are from the Patchblocks Kickstarter and they're amazing. :-)

Is it weird that theres a few hundred tracks submitted a week, but only like a couple posts in the forum a week? It just seems strange.

I'll take this opportunity to speak for all the lurkers: We tend to lurk. :-)
