Personally I don't like copyright. But if you plan on torrenting music submitted on WeeklyBeats, you should probably filter out copyrighted material as it's questionably legal and disrespectful to the artists whom have chosen that license.

The only potential problem would be the ones under 'All Rights Reserved' right?
We could just filter out those tracks.

OP updated.
Torrents added to my server for maximum seedage.

Also holy shit, the size of each week's zip files for this year are way larger than in 2012!
That's a good thing I suppose smile

An RSS feed for each artist would be pretty neat.

I started typing out my weebees' BPMs and gave up half way since they were all in the 120-140 range.

Why fix what ain't broke? wink

When I think of "submission" I think of slavery.
When I think of "submition" I think of Weekly Beats.
Good thoughts are good smile

I might have to do a blitz of tracks and bribe a co-conspirator to upload them on my behalf! big_smile

Remember to keep

2. Composition should have been completed this week.

in mind!
You can maybe write a composition down on staff paper and send it by carrier pigeon to someone who can transcribe it to midi for you smile

Here's some graphs I made in 2012, maybe they can be of use smile

First is the number of people that uploaded each week, second is the number of people who uploaded every week.
I plan on doing graphs like these for this year, I just have to fix the script first...

My buddy had the idea that someone should make a DAW that's made for realtime collaboration or something like that.
He got the idea from Flockdraw, a site where there's one canvas and everyone draws on it at the same time.

If done right, a DAW where multiple people can work on things at the same time would be pretty cool.

disregard family, acquire weekly beats

But really, I have a bit to juggle like most people do, but I feel like with a combination of knowing what I want to make before I start, knowing how to efficiently use my program of choice, and knowing what to do for mixing/mastering I can finish most of my weebees in 1-6 hours (also depending how distracted I get).

Thanks for sharing! I was planning on doing something like this for myself sometime this year.
