Will the RSS file thing just add each week to it (making one giant list of all songs throughout the year) or will the last week's entries get removed each week (making it just a list of the last week's songs)?

If the former, then that script will need a lot of work. If the latter, then it'll be a quick and easy fix.

Christmas maybe?

Oh, and one thing that I noticed: the tweet says "140+" submissions but I only counted 136?

I've come to terms that FM synthesis is a form of wizardry.

Here's something I whipped up last night.
http://pastebin.com/Ahd5n3gL

Currently it will just grab every mp3 link in the RSS file regardless of week.
I'll edit it later so that way you can select which week of music you want to download.
But since only Week 1's music is up it isn't a big deal, I'll try to fix it before Monday.

Included inside of the zip file that it creates is a file called "copyright" that lists each song and what copyright the artist released their song under.
It should all be correct but someone should verify that the copyrights match up correctly just to be sure. From the dozen or so that I checked it seems to be accurate.

I'm currently running the script right now and when it's done I'll try to host the zip somewhere for you all (depends if it's too big for Mediafire or not, I forget what their file size limit was).
Unless you'd be down to host the file here on the site, trash?

EDIT: Hot damn, the zip is 750MB. Instead of putting it on Mediafire I think I'll just make it a torrent, might be a lot easier that way.
EDIT2: Here it is! I have the torrent running off of my home server so it will be up 24/7 but since my Internet isn't all that great some help seeding would be appreciated. Enjoy smile

I have a song I've been working on that uses a couple Christopher Hitchens samples. smile

Same here. CC is always welcome smile

You could have a text file inside the zip with the license each song is under. Could even just make a script of some sort that will make it for you each week.

Forgive me if it's just me being stupid, but I can't find a list of tracks we've favorited.
Is there a list of some kind?
Also what function does favoriting serve? Is it purely to make a personal list, or does it help give songs with more favorites more attention somehow?

This should be fun smile

My song for next week will have an autotuned G-ZOM sample for the chorus.

I feel like mine was "finished" but I could have extended it if I had more time.

We don't have PMs here huh?

The old MDA-VST plugins have always been free and are now open source http://mda.smartelectronix.com/
They arent necessarily super high quality, being that they are free.. but they will get the job done.

I love those plugins. Didn't know they were open-sourced, good for him.

Just how strict is that rule by the way?
For example, would the Amen break be counted as "copyrighted content"?
