I'm going to have to disagree - to me, foregoing my commitments to playing synths due to vacation and fishing is very much a win!

Edit - actually, you are right - quitting is not a win...  but the fact that I can opt for either playing synths or doing other first world bullshit in my free time is a win I suppose, and I guess that was my point.  sad

I'm signing off from the project.  A few weeks ago I had to spend 10 days in the south of France on vacation (file under the other FWW) and since then it has just been nice to have my Sundays back to myself (I'd spend all day Sunday finishing my tunes).  I feel like a flake, but now the weekends are for catching trout and mowing/smoking grass. I reserve the right to post here again, and it was a pleasure to get to post tunes here and get feedback from all that rock way harder than I ever will.  Much inspiration has been derived from you guys!

I had the same problem with a song title as well.

Relate, very relate. But I managed to get something done!

Nice! Yeah, I wasn't too unhappy though I felt like my self-imposed restriction (filtered white noise) was indeed a hurdle.

I think yours turned out really well.

I vote for ducks.

Bob Dylan, Marc Savoy, The Replacements, Bill Monroe, Bruce Springsteen, Dirk Powell... in no particular order.

I went into week 4 thinking it would just have to be something just thrown together since my time was short... and even though my tune was was simple I think it's one of my favorites.  I'm starting to feel more confident in just doing things I'd like to hear rather than thinking about how others might hear my work.  Doing 48 more will be tricky, but I'm looking forward to see what I'll think about making music at the end if it.

I didn't put together a very high quality work this week.  I actually got a couple of modules earlier in the week, so I was looking forward to just doing some simple sequencing, but ended up just recording a bunch of miscellaneous sequences that were more or less in the same key, and the arranged them to actually make a song.

But it just goes to show that more gear can have an inversely proportional relationship to the quality of music produced...

Not to blow smoke up anyone's ass, but I have to say that I'm really impressed with the tunes people are posting... it's making me feel a bit embarrassed about my own work.  But inspired at the same time, so it's all good.

I also realized I cannot wait until the last minute to post my work - when I converted to MP3 I got these weird artifacts in my final version that I didn't have time to get the root of, and so it had to go as is. Next week I'll try to upload with at least two hours to go instead of less than one...

I just got a Vulcan Modulator with the Mind Meld expansion.  It must be used.

I'm really impressed with all the stuff I've heard so far - nice work all!
