PARTY @ MINE FOR AUSSIES. It's gonna happen.

RAD!  Seeing we had 4 of us there for breakfast a few days ago, this sounds like a good plan! :-)

So it sounds like:

- Socal party (USA)
- Melbourne Party (Vic, AU)
- rAdelaide Party (SA, AU)

NYC party anyone?  Where are other peeps from?

On behalf of Derris-K I'm going to invite all the Aussies around to the Melbourne party if they can make it :-P

With 2013 approaching and quite a few of us being Australian; what about a party / gathering?!

Technically, EOWB (end of Weeklybeats) is the morning of New Years Eve - but many of us will be visiting family, or have plans with friends.   Hence I'm thinking the week after; like Sat 5th Jan.

Some ideas:

- Try and gather everyone in one city like Melbourne or rAdelaide.  Other countries try the same.
- Have parties in different states / cities and webcam link them with a Google hang session (or do both!)
- Get everyone to pick their favorite track to play

What do people think?  Spread the word if you can!

Press play.  Fist pump.

else....

I set up with the Commodore Amiga outputting 1/4 and 2/3 as 2 separate pairs into a DJM800 - that way I have (usually) the drums and bass and melodic or additional elements on kill switches / levels / filters / able to route to efx.  I set my Amgia MODs up so that they have loop commands and I can break the loop when I feel like it... although often I'm constantly breaking the loops to get through the track more quickly!!  (it works for minimal techno though.)

For LSDJ live mode in blocks, part mute / solo, changing synth settings on the fly... with synth settings, I usually copy the synth first then on the build ups switch to that copy so if I'm doing something crazy then it'll snap back to a copy with the right settings when it kicks back in.  Seriously, there is a ton you can do and I've come to learn the less filtering, etc, the better on the DMG.  Remember it's also about engaging the crowd a big and having fun :-)

GREETS FROM AMSTERDAM!  :-D  :-D   :-0  :-D

Woah.  Crazy!  Ok - I'm going to ship these to the Amiga and see what happens.  Thanks for the inspiration!

(hmmm.... but I also have this stupid electro track done on an MS20... so maybe I'll save these samples for when I have more time)

right.  I have 3 hours to do a tune.  I'm about to listen to these samples :-P

^^  Sorry sinewave... might have to share the hipster points with me....  I just arranged half my weekly beats tracks onto a cassette master and duplicated 100 of them :-P

Thanks for link.  Finnish friend has a hotspot on his phone :-)   I'm staying with people for the rest of this tour so that should mean decent internet access.

Danke schön Phil Harmonic!  Groeten uit Köln :-)

I've drunk more beer in Germany on my first day/night than I've drunk collectively in the last month!

Just packed my suitcases for the tour... everything ready to go... went to bed.  Couldn't sleep for a bit. 3am... 4am...  OH SHIT... WEEKLY BEATS!  Jumped outta bed, unpacked laptop and put the final touches on the track I was (luckily) almost done with.  Lucky hey! (maybe this is a win?)

Still recovering from prog rock party we had last Sat night with Derris-Kharlan, tiasu and other musical nerds.  There are now 4 bottles of vodka in my freezer. WIN!

Ahhhh my head! Why I go bed so late on Sunday night? Happens every week for  some reason ;-)  Must. Getcoffee
