Pity

By fetalface on July 12, 2020 11:49 pm

# Thanks to Modulated Drummer for adding a rad drum part at the last minute.

Pity the child born on this day
pity the father and the mother
Pour your apologies into the smoky air
For all the things gone wrong

Take a good look at what you’ve made
Take stock of all your faded dollars
Pull out your pocketbook, cause now’s your chance to pay
For all the things gone wrong

As time
unwinds
My will
Is gone, I can’t go on

Think of the last time you felt joy
Think of how long ago that was now
And sigh a symphony into the dusty air
For all the things gone wrong

Love the part at 1:20, very cool contrast to the rest of the part.  The transition out of it at 1:55 is awesome too.

This is controlled chaos and I love it. Cool as F song. Sweet beats by MD too.

Wonderful performance by you both. It works really well.

Aw, thanks. Whenever I listen back to this stuff I'm always totally embarrassed, but it's really quite a good experience and I value your feedback.

I feel a connection to the band movietone, which I like very much. Such a good piece of music you did.
