once again i am very close to the deadline.

for those new here, i am making a groovebox to make music for weekly beats. it's a double challenge, and it's probably not a very good idea. it's a 6-voice 2-op fm synth each voice with its own sequencer track. each step can have a unique sound. :-)

i spent the whole week on the ui, making it look and feel nice. i should have put some time aside to fix bugs, to improve things - but of course i did that today instead of setting time aside for making music. anyway.

once again running in ableton live, doing level automation and some transposition.

controlling it with a ps5 controller - this is the way to live

this week:
- new ui
- clock rate per track
- fixed a few bugs

This sounds so good. Love the crescendo and then everything just becomes closer! Great arrangement!
Also, the software looks really cool! Congrats!

dat bass at 1:25. excited to see how this thing progresses!

yess!!

sooooo sick omg

wicked!

Oh I commented on your week1 track too soon, this looks awesome! Sounds delicious too, I love how much can be done with 2op FM.

Sounds super fun to use! Excited so see and hear more. smile

Great sound design as always! It is also really fun to see the progress with the tool. The ui looks cool!

this is like nanoloop2 on steroids, fantastic work as usual.

Wooooow all these timbres, feels like a menu from a nice restaurant where you can’t chose because everything looks delicious

It's starting to come along nicely

Saw the video in the Discord link a while ago, finally getting around to commenting. The UI is sick, and the sounds are pretty sweet (those pads!) Can’t wait to try out a build when the time is right, I’m FORS-committed for the year cuz I love youuuu (and even if I didn’t, things you make seem to love me, which I have no adequate words for).

Sorry for stanship, hope it elicits a smile or some such. heart

Sounding and looking very good. You always know how to push around 2-op FM that I always find inspiring.

The step sequencer UI looks really inviting. A lot of homages to NL while being more refined and broken out. The layout also makes me think of the Perkons. I really like the modern features. Sheesh... I really want a go at that thing. It has me chomping at the bit to try it.

As usual the track is brilliant, and the fact that you're doing WB on ultra hard mode is mind blowing to me. Most people aren't like, "I feel like listening to the radio. Guess it's time to build a radio."

Hehe, I'm glad you got a quick UI reveal. wink
Thanks! Yeah I love 2OP FM. Underrated.

Happy to hear that! Yeah it's kind of a mish mash of some hardware and nanoloop inspiration. Sorry for leaving you chomping. big_smile

Admittedly not the best idea, haha. It's been stressful finishing off features and bugs to then go directly to making music ?? Next week I'm taking an FMS break haha.

This sounds *so* good. I really dig the 2op FM sound and the UI looks really fun. Really interested to see where this project goes.

sounding soooo tight! heart
