Or proposal anniversary this week. My cat's B-day this week. Rode to get pet store presents with partner. Picked up groceries and got keto bread. Rode to main shopping street. looked at books set to be on sale. Bought Under the Skin (2013) and while talking to used store worker about Alien Romulus (2024). gummy resupply. Spent some time riding to the park and catching sunsets along the shoreline. Took it more easy this week on band stuff. No more sleepless nights working. Don't want to get sick again. Spread out labor over the week. Hardware running. Drummer has samples. Meeting to practice and do first official run set run. Had dinner with friends at new Vietnamese restaurant out of town. Ignored presidential debate (not going to learn much else). Received new larger modular case for flight travel and better storage. 909 day 909 session with TR-09 (doable but not fun).

Watched the The Fellow Passenger interview and checked the suggested video on glitch drums. I have done similar techniques so I was a bit underwhelmed. Played with the ideas in Ableton just to satisfy the itch and revisit some sound design techniques. Created Sample by sequencing 505 drums with stock a Ableton break. Processed Time stretched to hell. Envelope follower bit crush. Printed. Resampled while tweaking parameters. Took new sample and random sliced w/ transient detection. Sequenced results. Stacked traditional kick. Layered synth parts. Gave a less traditional structure the my usual. Printed song. Finished in about 45 min.

The start legit startled me, hahahahaha... This is awesome, I REALLY like your sound design choices here. The lingering synths at 0:45 are so good, especially when their pitch starts wobbling.
And those drums go so hard, too. Awesome!

The drums are absolutely ripping, cool vibe with the super mellow notes that come in after. I really like some of the crunchy ambient sounds too, there's so much texture going on here.

This vaguely reminds me of Radiohead, if a little less weird.

Haha I can see that tongue Thanks for checking it out. I think the song is like 95% sound design testing and 2% composition... the rest? We will never know.... lol

I've been squeezed on time due to prep work for my band. These shorter WB sprints seem to be forcing out some weird stuff in me. Might flesh this one out more down the line. Also... thank you, thank you, and thank you smile
