W28 - Drummer Boy (Nanoloop IOS)

By ENC_ on July 13, 2022 7:58 am

As soon as I got home I left again. More familial duties this time for other reasons. I am traveling along California's northern coast and away from its capital and my home. Put things together watching nature pass by and time slow down.

I am getting a lot of time to reflect. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. Staying in check so far. I am not close to most of my stuff but I was able to sample some bits and bobs before leaving.

Gear Used:
IPhone XR
Nanoloop
Roland TR-505
Roland TR-09
Windows 95 Laptop (resampling Breaks in 8-bit mono)
Tascam DR-40 (recording)
Izotope Ozone 9 (shmaster)

I wouldn't say thriving... the hard drive is getting a bit iffy, the screen sometimes glitches out, and the floppy drive is completely dead. It's in need of some TLC but I mostly use it for sampling and resampling anyways on its 8bit DACs. It's a great source of crunch.

Thanks! Your Youtube Videos were very enlightening and made me think of nanoloop more like an Elektron machine. Step automating sample start points/parameters and banks mode opened a lot of doors.

I think those are the really two great features, glad someone watched them.
