a hypnotic ride with your vocals, the pulsing arps and drums that punch. excellent!
so they flew a 10 year old to a detention center....
and the criminals are...........?????
confused as to how this is making us great
send help
(sick track, the sirens were scary, loved the drums, didn't even realize those were vocals - in a good way)
This is so intense, I love it. I really dig your vocals. Such a good protest song.
The context behind this is immensely angering, but the track is awesome. Absolute fire.
The echo on that snare is super nice and then it takes a total curveball.
packed with emotion and what feels like tension building all around us, killer work
As an inmigrant myself, who grew up in Spain coming from Latin America and NEVER was pointed or disturbed in any way, I couldn't even imagine how frightened those children (and their families) are.
Thank you, Emily, for this track.
great track but I gotta know what you're doing to your voice (unless it's a secret). I love the texture.
Amazing track with awesome energy and lots of interesting builds and swells. The inspiration drives me spare, though. Isn't that child trafficking, taking her across state lines without parental consent? And first of all, how is a child a hardened criminal? Second, the news needs to stop with the "DHS said" - everyone knows they're lying.
I hate this timeline but I love your music. it's a quandary.
Great work on this one - especially on the vocal processing and sound selection. Appropriately seething and much needed.
thank you folks for lisening & engaging with this track

This needs to be on stage punk girl band screaming pyrotechnic spectacular.
where in Latin America did you emigrate from?
did you see the halftime show of the us sportsbowl?
bad bunny really made a point about celebrating all of the Americas
i have longed for more celebration & solidarity of all Americans/inhabitants of turtle island
& more freedom of movement between the countries like in the EU...
so cool to learn we are paisano's Laguna!
Thank you!
My family comes from Chile. We arrive here in 1980, when I was just 2 years old.
Yes, I've seen Bad Bunny's performance on Youtube. While his music it's not particularly my cup of tea, I was glad to see he chosed to showcase positivity and pride instead of just showing the finger to the whole MAGA club. It was an intelligent and powerful move, I think.
And yet I am aware NFL is a business and some/most of the (corporate) support is just the record industry telling what's hot and what should be in our playlist, I believe he made quite a positive use of his moment in the spotlight.
Reggaeton is really huge here in Spain, yet I couldn't name 2 songs from the guy. As I said, I'm really not into his music though it is nice for me to hear other voices from the US remembering America is a whole continent
Thanks again for your punk rock attitude, paisana ![]()
Inching ever closer to EBM territory, including the hyper-distorted vocal line. It's often a politically engaged genre, so all in all this fits you like a glove. No notes, five stars.
That story devastates, it all does. The song makes me want to rise up and go.
It sounds like she has been released, good. She will become a doctor still.
The easy part of this comment is to say: I really enjoyed this track. The vocal production sounds great. The synths are sharp.
The harder part: I struggle to put into words how this moved me but it really did. You have such a knack for putting your feelings about the turmoil in this world into songs and making it palpable. It seems others here (myself included) can find comfort in relating to the emotion you put into your songs and that is a wonderful skill to have. Your music is a gift and an antidote, thank you for sharing it.
Musically: please more distorted Emily, this is a side I’ve not heard enough of and I think it’s ridiculously effective.
News: I have no words and I’ve been trying to prepare for the worst and the meanest. Seems we have found a trap door in what I thought was the rock bottom and now can go lower.
Fingers crossed we can be punky and distorted on a brighter day, sometime, this year hopefully.
hank you folks for lisening & engaging with this track

i also do not know much about bad bunny - i tried to watch his tiny desk concert - his backing band for that was awesome but i wasn't really getting the hype... (but i'm old and not that hip) i was only able to watch the halftime performance from a random person on youtube's phone recording of the event & i was really touched and moved by the performance & i likely missed a lot of what was going on - but from what i saw - there was some real powerful artistry there
