No end, no problem

By djippy on February 8, 2026 1:17 am

Wasn't sure what to do, wanted maybe to go more with the baritone guitar riffy sound, but did load the session with the mellotron in, so why not both?

Maybe not polished enough. I feel this one might have been super cool with some vocals as well, but I am not home this weekend, so it was easier to bail out then trying to sing not too loud using the laptop mic this evening...

I wasn't able to record anything decent for the end, so it is abrupt. No problem.

Gear used:
Squier Stratocaster to a new cheap chinese drive pedal to my little Randall rd1h little head that have DI out - to my Focusrite Scarlett.

Some mellotron emulation plugin, some synth bass plugin.

My acoustic drums.

Fitness journey... Keeping it consistent. About 7,5hrs of cardio. Didn't start the full body workouts yet. I maybe shaved 0.5 KG, but it feels like I did hit a plateau since maybe 3 weeks. It is fine. I feel I build a bit of muscle as well as I do zone 4-5 sometimes as well biking so maybe I do have a bit bigger legs then before! Did eat "mostly" healty, but will cheat a lot this Sunday. We did purchase loads of "BAAAAD" food for the superbowl.

Keep it up everybody!

Rock!

le snare est délicieux, vraiment cool track. J'aime particulièrement le drumming sur celle-là!

Drums sound great as always and the other instruments are bringing it, too.  There's just a sense of raw power to this that is very cool.

Le tone de guit est malade!

SO GOOD! heavy as heck and the guitar is dope!
hah nothing wrong with this ending

oof hail yais! mellotron sounds epic and such a heavy riff! \m/

I thought this was going to go into White Room at one point then it's all aggressive post rock goodness.

Oh boy I love this. Those synths are still just perfect. The flow on this is spectacular, the break to hear the guitar static was such a great bit. Everything is so perfect together. Amazing and inspiring work. Favourited.

this is great. thought of tool in parts. you're right too, the ending was not a problem - huge strength

Greasy, love them drums

Ending might not be wrong, but if I feel like releasing this, I'll edit it a bit for sure... merci!

Super happy you noticed the little taps on the electric guitar during the second break! Did think it was a nice touch...

If this reminds a bit of TOOL, it makes me super happy. I understand why you would say that, I'll take the compliment but I don't think Tool did 3 chords only songs yet. smile

Thanks a lot.

Nice man, the mellotron sounds hauntingly awesome.  Love the breaks before the transitions in here.

Oooh is that the mellotron that sounds like the organ? SO good! Haunting! This is great

Heavy! Great playing, and I love that mellotron cool

Great tune!! and nicely recorded kit. The baritone sounds very cool. I think I need one now.

Low tuned guitars are fun...

Thanks! There are a couple edits here and there, but not that many on that track so I appreciate the compliment.

I'd probably like a longer scaled baritone guitar, but if you have more than one electric guitar and one sits without being played a lot, big ass strings does the job. (Maybe a bit more difficult on a "Gibson" alike scale, but it works good on my 25,5" Stratocaster.) I just purchased a 13-56 string and since it was an old guitar, I only had to scrape a bit the strings so they sit ok on the nut + intonation adjustment.

fun!

So dramatic. In the best way! The name fits really well somehow
