Oh, the accordion got me good! And of course the vocals ... and well, everything now that I think for a second! wink I love how you're tying these together over time too ... in sync with the spheres.

Mood overflow. Love the beat. It’s amazing watching the US go completely crazy about a bit of shadow wink

Dead Can Dance vibes for an astronomical highlight sure is a good fit!

Let me know how you have been affected. Love the track. The accustic harmonica is pure gold.

Sets a great mood for the eclipse.  A reset wouldn't be a bad thing at all right now.  Also congrats on the album release!

Great atmosphere, I love the free reed type sound (accordion maybe, harmonium... concertina... not sure???) that comes in a 1:25(ish).  Here's to hoping that the eclipse was in fact the great reboot (that I think we all need). (ㆆ ᴗ ㆆ)

This is amazing! Love how you used the stereo image and the mix in general. And very cool use of the melodica!

So ethereal and atmospheric, even ghostly at times! Wonderfully appropriate for the eclipse!!! This is awesome! And I agree with PeterM, the accordion sounds awesome! They're always a welcome addition in my book =P Great job overall!!!

melodica says "thank you for rescuing me from the dusty basement, emily"
that eclipse was magic.

A great eclipse track. Melodica sounds awesome. I like the rhythm that builds. The celebration of the rebirth when the light returns! Cool how this was from 2017 and you refreshed. Both eclipses were so amazing. This year I mainly watched online which was fun to see all the people. We had about 25% coverage here in the west, I went outside and stood there at least.
I'll check out your album!

Thanks everyone - it was an odd sorta day - very windy here... the dawn chorus of birds has been really loud this past couple weeks - I think on the eclipse day I even heard the ducks quacking that morning.  We live blocks away from the river and walked to the same spot that I had spent the eclipse in 2017.  The humans down in the park were acting really odd... we didn't get full totality here - that happened about 3 hours south of us.  It did get darker and windier & for some reason a bunch of cormorant birds were flying south (eclipse chasers?)... we saw an airplane overhead & what looked like a rocket and chemtrails... and magically as the totality was ebbing - the humans all kinda took off and we were able to really focus on the birds & squirrels etc. Just as the humans cleared out - this beautiful Ospray flew right above us!!!  It flew back and forth a few times and hovored overhead of us each time - it was really really special - it felt like some kinda blessing.

The shadows were really neat to observe as well.  I was just reading this post by Sarah Kenzior who wrote of her eclipse to eclipse musings if you want a bit of better writing on the midwest US eclipse vibes & a bit more insight why folks here are maybe going "completely crazy about a bit of shadow."  smile

Well I better stop procrastinating & work on a beat for this week!

Wishing you all well!

Love the sound of the groove.  That splashy snare especially.  The melodica sounds great with your vocals too.
Really cool idea spanning both eclipses.  smile

oh i forgots! Congrats on the double album release! yay! smile

Definitely evokes the feeling of witnessing something powerful, almost in an ominous way at times. Vocals are just insane, such control and presence.

Another amazing track... I loved how you told the story of how it came together and your in-person eclipse experience... really helps build imagery to go with the music.

the accordion is SO HOT

just bought your DISCOGRAPHYYYY woooooo!

Very ominous and mysterious, you never know what you're going to get with an eclipse if you don't know what it is. It's ultimately benign, but the lore people can come up with is always really cool.

Awed by how you were able to work on music in the eclipse. I was on the other side of the globe but could barely get out of bed. waiting for the energies to settle (slowly getting there). Anyway, I think this song captures that mysterious and powerful energy very well!

the eclipse energy in our house was like manic music production - josh & i both kinda got through a bunch of old projects but the mercury retrograde has made everything seem like wading through molasis... repeating steps - disappering files, reappering files... it's kicking my ass and i am feeling tired and scrambled... really struggled to get out the tracks the last few weeks - hope things are feeling ok on your end of this beautiful planet!
