“there’s a message there for everyone and it is that people can unite, that democracy from below can challenge oligarchy, that imprisoned migrants can be freed, that fascism can be overcome, and that equality is emancipatory.” – Angela Davis/"Freedom Is A Constant Struggle...'

that question mark has never hit harder

the country belongs to the people not to a person

my question is why do we have to keep repeating this lesson

i would like to opt-out

i'd love to say

to this lesson but i guess we all came here at this time to learn something & maybe contribute to making some good vibrations while we are here

i think the answer to your question is complex
but if i tried to answer that even a little - i'd say it has a lot to do with history we've never really dealt with honestly as a collective - repair we've not ever even attempted to make with so many communities in our country as a country

i also think that our lack of investment in our basic needs (not taking care of our air, water, the land (broken food systems), our bodies (broken health care systems) & the lack of investment in education, the arts is creating a weird kinda soul poverty / feedback loop

you are doing this!
drew i would like you to know that i feel proud to be in community with you
the good vibes and inspiring art you make - franks smile & wave every week...
they matter and mean so much
don't quit
don't opt out
heart

I'm utterly disgusted with what's going on in this country.  Thank you for continuing to fight the good fight.

Ooof the vocals with the initial drum drop gave me goosebumps yikes  Powerful lyrics and love the outro heart  I hope it rains on their cage! \m/

Great message, the field recordings are beautiful. Trip hop vibes on point.

Yeah, weird times we live on where the rich (not talking about intellectually rich) have the power and uses it for their own good and not the collectivity... I have to confess that I did watch the UFC event yesterday and that I think it was a killer show. The big band, the lights, the decorum with the military, police, firefighters, the combats (I like those MMA fights), the final combat with an American that did win over the Georgian, I liked all of it (I am not into Trump politics at all btw).

The "correct way of thinking" now is about the individuals, not the collectivity. I am maybe part of the problem as well, of course I want more even if I do have "everything".

I have to say that with all the flaws USA have, that it is a super cool country with very diverse people from different backgrounds, origins and ideologies.

Love from the north of the frontier. Take care all. (yeah scary times when president says Canada will be 51st state of USA. That with climate changes there will be massive exodes to the north in a foreseeable futur with all the challenges this comes with...)

Great piece. The message resonates heavily with me in the heart of this dying flailing empire whose colonial drive has turned inward toward its people. The reverberant timbre of the piece reminds me of taking an introspective walk in the summer rain - fitting for the current season as we approach a 250th anniversary which will no doubt be a suitingly embarrassing testament to where we stand after a quarter millenium, if this past weekend is anything to go off of.
