ominous, haunting, accurate portrayal of present times. 2 minutes it really starts to come together and move in a different direction. These vocals sheeesshhh so good. Love how this evolves.

holy CARPS
are u kidding me?? i love this so much

Really interesting to see the different takes you a jwh did on this.  While he seemed to put almost a fun happy spin on it, this version is deeply unsettling, while still being a pleasure to listen to.

The tension created right from the start is so good and your vocals sound awesome.  this feels like i'm floating down a calm river at night only to look up and see the current state.  love these collabs heart

An ominous build, and I love how it finds a steady state in there, while getting increasingly distorted. Fantastic sound design!

Strange and weird and menacing and beautiful in all my fave ways. Also the weirdly echoing percussion and chanting is like a bizarro world concert between The Beatles and The Tea Party... which is all to say this song took me to a lot of amazing and haunting places. Awesome.

Also yes we are both EST!

Omnious! Lovely haunting vocals!.

Such a different vibe to JWHs. The production is lush. This sounds like a David Lynch hallway.

Love this, (ill try to listen to it more completely sometime this week,) but from what I heard of it its great

Hardly recognised any of the material from one to the other, maybe the drums haha, very cool. Perfect music, maybe slightly ironic, for watching people walk around in the park… very nice!

Wow love the wildly different takes here, sounds like a lot of fun to be had with these collabs, can't wait for the next one.

A phenomenal good track. It is elevating me. Very very well done.

Looking for a word that covers both "ominous," "pretty," and "blurry."  It feels like the sounds you'd hear from the other end of the haunted abandoned mall.

(By the time the track ended, I'd become very partial to that tiny siren.)

EMILY! This is fantastic! Superb sound design. Absolutely love it!

I love those takes from you and Josh.

Well played!

Such creepy vibes, appropriately named!

Again, you have captured the feeling in the air and palpably put it into a piece of music. The sound design makes this piece haunting (appropriately so).

Also echoing your tag for those who didn't see it, it shouldn't need to be said but:
STOP BOMBING CHILDREN

My heart cracks.

I like the ominous sirens and sound design before the beat drops. the beat is alright for a while but maybe a bit too repetitive for my taste for most of the later half of the track - i.e. wish something else went on with the drums, otherwise I enjoyed the little variations/fills of the other instr. but I also get it contributes to the hypnotic feel. I did find myself drifting and a little bit hypnotized. nice work!

Haunting and emotive. Out of your two versions, I prefer this one. It draws the picture of the seriousness of the situation, and it does it with stylistic flair that I really enjoy. Trip hop meets horror soundtrack. Good stuff!

Beautiful work. I’m once again blown away by the you and jwh’s collective creativity and your individual musical styles. These collab tracks are a real treat!

And thanks to both of you for finding ways to express the mood of the current time without letting it win. Even when the sound of a track can’t be hopeful, you give hope to all of us by expressing and sharing it.

Reminds me of the shining soundtrack, but more rhythmic. Strange thing that my mind conjured up was how there's just one letters difference between "Danger" and "Dancer". Do with that what you will...

This really resonates - I've spent a lot of the last week really frustrated and upset by what's going on. I finished my track last week before world events unfolded, and I wished I had time to go back and do something more fitting and appropriate. You captured what i was feeling perfectly. I long for a world where things that inspire songs like this don't happen. Thanks for a lovely, evocative track heart

Powerful haunting soundscape of danger. The steady drone and sirens, haunting voice.
We are on a ledge ... and it needs to stop. Thanks for creating and caring.

Jaw dropped as soon as I hit play…

One of my favorite things on WB is when a collapse takes the source and then makes different final mixes. But…wow…wildly disappointing ferment and I LOVE it. jwh’s mix is poppy and sweet (with grit), and yours is a dreamy demented fun house that we’re desperately trying to escape. Things we used to recognize that have been twisted into a horrific shape. Your vocals on this remind of the tracks Moe Tucker would sing with VU - with sweetness and innocence - that is such a great contrast against the horror show. Like a kid running into traffic.

As RPLKTR would say: no notes, five stars.

That air siren is frightening, so fortunate I only need to hear it and not experience it in real life.  Despite the inspiration behind this one the track is a real pleasure to listen to.  Excited to hear the next collab/remix next month.

same - i keep wondering for how long... greatful for each day without it though - we did have an evening in the basement with the sorm sirens though - greatfully safe from those as well

wishing you all peace & safety heart

scary, but not too scary yet

jwh's version felt like the intro, this feels like the outro.
Emotions where expressed, thoughts shared, and the conclusion feels bitter sweet, perhaps a bit more bitter.
I really love the two versions! *hugs*
