Can Hear The Notes Of A Different Song

Decided to start with my BeatStep Pro instead jumping into the DAW right away. The haptic experience seems to keep me better in the flow. Already made a nice bass patch a few days earlier and wanted to give it a chance. Pretty basic drumline. The pad is quite simple too and wasn't even the first choice, but it's better suited for what I wanted the sound to be like.

Once I though I'm done, I noticed I don't even have something that could be identified as lead. Not quite G-Thang, but the theremin-ish tune seems appropriate tho. Wanted to add some sparkles, but chose distortion instead smile

Hardware synth's only this time. Inspired by early 80s synth-pop. Not sure how to call this, chill-pop maybe? Rest assured, no vocals.

More early electro vibes for me.

Kind of reminds me of "Fade to grey" or something like that.

The high choral type sounds really lift it.

Oooh, I love that trance synth that slowly comes in somewhere around 1:30, such a cool moment!

Agreed! (And I wrote a similar thing about his track of last week big_smile)

Last week I used a unison-4 saw (poor folks supersaw, I guess) for the bass line and the main theme. Then I went to recreate the Fade To Grey bass (did it with PWM) and used it on this track, because I liked it so much. Also the idea the break/fill in the middle of the track came from that song. So you're both quite right in that regard. Glad you like it.

I love that subtle panned lead! It gives this track a nice melancholic feel.

Not every song needs a lead and I think you have a lot of great instruments in here playing key roles and giving them the spotlight sometimes and it works great. Sometimes a track opens up the filter on the bass and it takes centre stage and it works - and it works in this track too. Its a great synthwave little journey heart

Love the synth pop vibe here. Slight "Fade to Grey" callback. heart

I can hear the other song, you can totally put that out there.
