Wangus - Dunk Tank (Dustsucker Remix)

By Dustsucker on May 24, 2026 4:23 pm

Wangal music, AKA Drunk Tank

Wangus uploaded the original Dunk Tank in week 21 of 2022, and it's one of my favorite M8 tracks ever. 100% go check it out if you haven't heard it. There is also the excellent remix by ilzxc. Wangus himself has even put out a bunch more insane remixes of the same track in 2026 too. Remixtravaganza!

i said this in dm but i'll relay here because it's always fun to share/read what other people take from music they listen to

`---` (dinkus)

this was awesome

listening again, because i was listening on phone speakers the first time live lol

the arps that hit the main melody notes in the beginning is v much in the spirit of the "remixes" i imagine

the brosteppy section is wonderfully cheezy

the og instrument at 1:34 is a great moment—i think hitting an isolated wonk microtonal chord on that note is such a great augmentation on the original track, i've had some ideas rattling in my head that do that

the noodly lead out of nowhere at the end is a trope i do a lot lol—i think it works well in a dunk-tank-like track for the runaway train vibe, like you're just laying down the track with no known endpoint yet

again, this was awesome

i think the most important part is that it's something that I could never have made.  like this track feels fairly genre-alluding to me (idk what genre exactly) overall in its arrangement/instrumentation?  though with an off-the-rails spin.  and i'm just not good at genre-aligned stuff.
ilzxc's is also definitively-not-wangus, in a totally different way (i could never craft percussion quite like that)

I heard this start playing right when I was dropping off from the discord chat, so I just had to come back and give it a proper listen. Damn, really nicely done here! Is Dunk Tank the record holder for WB tune with the largest number of remixes? I'd think so, right??? Hahaha... Awesome trippy ass work here, friend!

Wow!

This is straight up awesome love this, (both the original and this remix)

The dub step breakdown is HUGE!

Awed by this one.

THat was fucking awesome! Sounds incredibly complex to me and the sound design is impressive too!

this is a heck of a remix. super entertaining throughout

I was going to ask if this is the most remixed track on WB, but it looks like jegasus beat me to it.  I'm going to venture a guess that it probably is.  Nicely done though.  Great energy and a huge sound.

Complex & interesting! expertly done

Dang, this is cool! It's going all kinds of places with big and cute sounds. I like this one a lot!

Holy business this is rad! Great remix (great OG track to start with too). That bass sounds GIANT and the drums absolutely slap. Instant save to favorites

holy CARPS what did i just listen to??
so wild, so intricate

Whips! Whereas the original feels as intimate as peering over a hacker's shoulder, your remix feels like a virtual reality grand tour, mood shifts and all. Really like the flying octave jump at 0:24 and the contrary motion against the opening lower synth line. The sweeps in the buildup are so swimmy, especially with the slowdown! Love the chippy trills and the flange insert at 1:19. The melting transition at 1:34 made me laugh. The bass in the second buildup feels like the tide roaring in, and the chip solo 2:02 at is jazz-fusion pretty. (And ofc I am sucker for the modulated delay in the outro). One of the better demonstrations of your control over space and transitions

What a great buildup to that epic bass, lots of little glitches and intricate programming to appreciate here.  This may have taken some time to put together but I can hear why you took the time, very dense track but everything has its place.

This track peaks, and stays fresh throughout. Stella work!

Love the theme of this and the uplifting feels throughout.  Ooof the break down around 1min is bad ace! \m/ Ooooh yes those lil bleeps that blossom into other sound great! Excellent remix and development of the original theme. Awesome outro too!
