Geometric Timecube

Was short on time this week, so had some fun with the m8's hypersynth instrument available in the latest firmware.

This week's timeboxed piece also features the Galactic Layers synth (Garageband / Tictoc Preset) and the Friday Break (Blu Mar Ten / Jungle Jungle Pack).

The hypersynth really brings out that 80s feel, doesn't it? This is super fun, really enjoying the beat!!! The keys at 1:40 are VERY fun, too! Awesome job!

This is a fun one, that Blu Mar set has a ton of great stuff. M8 for another win, such a versatile instrument.

That opening synth really gives off a ps1 startup vibe, and the beat definitely makes me feel like I'm immersed in an action adventure video game.

Wow, nice composition for a quick one! I like the rhythm variations in the drum arrangement and the varied bass tones. I might be crazy but, maybe I'm hearing the mix kind of leaning to the right, especially the bass parts. NBD, it's a lot to ask to write a song and mix it and master it in a week or less-- I sure as hell couldn't mix or master a pile of beans if it bit me on the elbow. Enjoyable track, thanks!

like it was said, i get a really fun and playful vibe, with PS nostalgia, really coool stuff.

Yes it does, thank you for listening. I squeezed a bit more from the hypersynth in my next song also using the trigger envelope to track the bass drum rhythm.

Thank you for listening, I think I remember that! It's been a while... so many fun games on the PS1.

Thank you so much! Your 100% correct about the mix- it happens every time I render stuff out of garageband in a hurry and don't pay attention to how far right (or left) parts of the stems are. Once I heard it in the tracker I facepalmed and kept going LOL.
