Repairs

It was real hard to make music this week. I had so many cool ideas but every time I tried to work on them I just fizzled out and got frustrated. Been feeling a little stuck creatively, which is usually a sign that I need to find some other creative outlet besides what I tell myself I "should" be doing.
Today I took the cigar box guitar that I built a few months ago and decided to get to some adjustments and repairs I'd been wanting to do on it. It needed some sound holes and the 3 way switch was a bit misaligned. I also wanted to restring and retune it. It's now tuned to DGBE, like the last (first?) 4 strings on a guitar.
I've been building cigar box-like guitars for a few years now, but the thing is I don't really know how to play them. I can sorta play ukulele and the new tuning works w/ ukulele chord shapes so there's that.
In the end for this week, after fixing my guitar I spent about a couple hours recording something short, sweet, and easy using the guitar, a polystyrene resonator one-string instrument I built, and a marimba swarm kontakt library. Something moody to fit my moody mood.
