Santa Claus likes indy pop rock

Started with the delayed loop synth which is a free of copywright sample loop.
Added a freestyle drum part on it, then a little synth bass loop over it too.
Some go to plugins + presets on the tracks, landr mastering and Voilà!

No edits at all on the drums this time, you have exactly what I did... This was a quick mix, I am listening right now and I probably should back down compression on some of the elements of the drums, but it is allright! ANOTHER ONE DONE! Almost to the finish line.

Happy holidays all.

I love that melancholic guitar tone, so beautiful how it sits in the reverb, and the drums punch with passion too. excellent work here heart

(ha, i hear what you mean about the compression too, but i like it most of the time: the drum transients are left as dreamy as the guitar big_smile it’s just when you start hitting the crash that it’s a bit more noticeable, still i don’t mind so much)

I especially like when the drums go double-time about half way though. Lots of energy! Gets me pumped!

Dreamy, but still present. Nice vibe! Almost there, my dude. Keep crankin!

Santa's got good taste.

Thanks a lot for the kind comment, drums are still very punchy, but maybe too much and it feels a little weird with that much compression, but it is allright!

Great! Yep, double or half tempo are "easy ish" tricks! Did use both of those on that track.

Yes, I had the loop running in my headphones, then just improvised exactly what is on the track, My acoustic drums on the garage have some microphones all over it. Most of the time I edit those quite a bit, but didn't have the time, there is a lot of compression there, bit of EQ but it is pretty much exactly what I did. (and first (and only) take too...)

Merci!!! Happy it was a pleasant listen for you guys!

Hope you'll have a marvellous week.

(Despite the quality of multi-samples nowadays,) I had the feeling this was the case. Listen again – nice playing, and I like the overhead sound.
