(ha, i hear what you mean about the compression too, but i like it most of the time: the drum transients are left as dreamy as the guitar it’s just when you start hitting the crash that it’s a bit more noticeable, still i don’t mind so much)

Thanks a lot for the kind comment, drums are still very punchy, but maybe too much and it feels a little weird with that much compression, but it is allright!

Great! Yep, double or half tempo are "easy ish" tricks! Did use both of those on that track.

Yes, I had the loop running in my headphones, then just improvised exactly what is on the track, My acoustic drums on the garage have some microphones all over it. Most of the time I edit those quite a bit, but didn't have the time, there is a lot of compression there, bit of EQ but it is pretty much exactly what I did. (and first (and only) take too...)
