Roar!!!

By djippy on July 7, 2024 2:31 am

First project try using Ableton 12!

I first recorded the rock drums using a metronome.

I have heard "Roar" is pretty good, so did try some of the stock Ableton preset that uses it somewhere on the chain.

This built me a crunchy drum sound and I did then recorded some bass and guitar loops.

Arranged something that makes sense to me. Printed track.

Voilà.

so crunchy and tasty. love the distorted bass tones on this one!

Hmm, nice pedals you‘ ve got. Or are these Live12 plug ins? I once tried L12, but switched back to 11, was unable to change the habits I have. Could not find anything anymore. I completely like your song.

Yeah, DI recording and just "stock" Ableton presets...

Bass go thru "Bass Crunch Pulse" and "Bass Fuzz" presets,

Guitars go thru "Guitar Wall of Amps" preset.

I was direct monitoring, Latency wasn't too bad at 256 samples buffers.

Guitar sounds pretty thin if plugin is bypassed... lol

Perhaps not intimidating, but there's definitely a certain gravitas to it.

DAT CRUNCH. Drums sounding great as always. Nice one

Love the sound and feel of the drums.  With the crunchy bass it has a sweet laid back bluesy sound.  Sweet synthy solo line that I believe is from Roar too?  Had me nodding along as it reached the end.  Nice work!

Merci! C'est un clip midi qui viens avec Ableton qui était dans la bonne tonalité. C'est un des stock synths passé aussi dans la saturation "Roar".

Thanks! It is one of those midi "clips" that comes with Ableton into a stock synth - into Roar saturation...
