Princent Vice synth melodies kicks asses

Hey! Collab this week with @Princent Vice https://weeklybeats.com/princent+vice/m … ing-djippy

I was lazy to start something by myself so I asked on the discord channel if anyone wanted an acoustic drums track for this week submission... Princent Vice took the deal and sent me a really cool m8 track. I did track quickly some of my acoustic drums. Then did my own mixed version with the multitrack he sent me(which is pretty dense and a bit messy as djippy track should be!)

It will be fun to hear his version as well this evening!

Just came here after listening to the version on Princent's profile. THIS IS SUCH A COOL IDEA!!! While the two songs are obviously really similar they have such distinct character!!! I'm loving the more raw drums and guitar here. You're rocking the performance here, great job to both of you! Awesome to see the collab bare such great fruit!!!

Guess you must've missed it in the chaos, but I did respond as well.
Gimme drums plz, they so good.
The synths are also good, but you'll have to read my reaction on that on his track.

wOW. This is really good. The combination of both of your worlds works fantastic. More please.

Man I wish had mixed your guitar way more forward. The headphones I was using had them really present and I didn’t check it in enough systems. Your great line is  totally drowned out in my version and I’m bummed 😭

Suhweet collab, love the sound of the guitar mixed with the electronic elements.  It had a nice djent-ish sound to it that cut thru the groove of the drums so nice.  This gave me some White Zombie feels to with that heavier groove.  Drums sound great especially with those cymbals riding and splashing about.  Cheers to you and Princent Vice!

yEAAAAAAH! Love this collab. The live drums really take it to another level. What a banger!

This is GREAT! First of all: amazing collaboration. But this track is SO good and I'm glad there are two distinct versions of it. I love this mix for the Big Rock Drums & Guitar - it's crisp and perfectly aggressive.

Yeah, track was rocking already but did go "classic rock" direction with the in your face drums and guitars.

I'll still give you some more drums.

Don't worry! you can always come back to it. You sent me a pretty neat track to work with. Sorry my drums + guitars probably needed some tweaks + edits but this is what this is! It is super fun to hear both totally different approach with my mix vs yours.

Thanks! I don't feel that this is my best work drum wise but it will do! I literally recorded this version in 15 mins (half a take and a full take only) then did a bit of editing...) It is ok smile .

Yeah, it was fun to hear both takes on it. I obviously did put more emphasis on the acoustic elements, Princent Vice take is way "cleaner"...

Thanks you all for your comments and support!

Rock on.

Oh wow that bass riff put a smile on my face right from the intro. This GROOVES. I could see a sea of people banging their head to this track! Loved it.

Listened to both of your mixes right after the other - I love this collab style! Hearing both of your mixes is great.

Absolutely LOVE the grit in this mix. That metallic bass is fantastic. Whereas Princent's mix was a glossy machine, this one has been in service for a while - and it ROCKS. Fantastic work both of you!

This entire idea reminds me of listening to Peter Gabriel's "i/o" mixes that were released in Light and Dark versions. Sometimes the same song could sound quite different.

This mix is much more industrial metal. That's more up my alley, but I liked the precision of the other mix. Would it be crazy to wish for a mix that went somewhere in-between the two? big_smile

hell yeah, this rules. gonna go check out the VP mix now
